I made her pose in the flowers. She was so good, sitting there for me even though she really wanted to be running around. That’s my girl!

The grass has grown taller than Ally!

I really like the first picture. The last is nice too.

In many of the other pictures, the subject that’s in focus isn’t different enough for the flowers that are out of focus aren’t different enough to stand out. That last picture with just flowers doesn’t fall into that group.

Ally looks adorable sitting nicely in the flowers, so cute!!
You got some awesome wildflower photos, too.

Hi Charlotte! I hope you don’t mind I added you. I am an aspiring photog and I have really enjoyed your beautiful work. You inspire me! I am in Utah and trying to get my business started.

Yup, that’s me. It’s an old picture, and I keep meaning to update it.

      This is a good idea!

Is that you on the userpic? :)))

Let me know if you do, I think this would be a perfect picture for our bedroom at the new place! πŸ™‚

Thanks, Carrie! I really should get my online store up and running again. Thanks for the support. Maybe later this summer, whenever I get a chance to work on it. πŸ™‚

Nope, but I take a lot that suck. πŸ˜‰

I think took these with my 24-70 f2.8. I don’t have the 85 1.2, but I do have the (much cheaper) 85 1.8. I love that little lens so much that I don’t see any reason to upgrade.

Thanks, Teddi! Hey, we should have a DWF cookout with dogs and kids this summer. πŸ™‚

Thanks, Chris! I used to have a hard time with flower pictures, so I’m glad you think I’m getting better at it.

Thanks so much! I want to frame that one for my desk. πŸ™‚

Thanks! I’m smitten with my little doggy. πŸ™‚

Unfortunately I don’t know much about these flowers at all. I wish I knew more, but your guess is as good as mine, sorry!

      I LOVE this one:

I’d probably even pay for a print, if you were selling that is πŸ˜‰

You’re so awesome! And your dog, the cutest!

do you ever take a picture that’s just “good”?

is that one of those 80mm f1.2’s that all the wedding photographers have?

That first photo of Ally is too cute!

Amazing pictures, Charlotte. How can you be as amazing at photographing flowers as you are with people?

I like first photo very very much! :))))))) You are amazing photographer! πŸ™‚

Such a pretty girl! I love her expression, so wise and all-knowing πŸ™‚

The feather-like flowers are really interesting, do you happen to know what they are?
