Leigh and Todd
      The Broadmoor Resort

      December 21, 2007

What a way to spend an anniversary! Leigh and Todd flew from their home in Hawaii to celebrate their first anniversary in winter wonderland. The Broadmoor is a beautiful hotel here in Colorado Springs, and it is especially gorgeous at Christmastime. Leigh told me that she wanted some snowy anniversary photos to hang on the wall next to their beachy wedding photos. Somehow they scheduled our portrait session perfectly–a snowstorm started as we began the shoot! I was giddy with excitement as I took these photos.

Leigh and Todd, happy anniversary, and thanks for asking me to help you celebrate!

      Ahhh… snow is so romantic.

The cold made for some great cuddles!

      One of my favorites

It got cold out there! We went inside to warm up.

We had some fun against this blue wall!

Then we went back outside to brave the storm again.

      Warming up with hot chocolate

Twilight is my favorite time of day.

What a beautiful ending to a fun portrait session!

Wow!!! You always inspire me. Every picture gets better and better! Is that top one with the 15mm too? I went to B&H photo and tried the lens out last weekend. It was so much fun!

      How romantic! 🙂

I can’t ever not marvel at your photog skills. You, my friend, are one of the best when it comes to photographing people. I wish I had a fraction of your talent.

Anyhow, you did a good job there and boy will they love to have those snowy photos to look back on.

Thank you Colorado for providing them with some snow as I know Colorado, you can be a bit fickle in that arena.

      How fun!! Great work! 🙂

I just looked at these on flickr…just beautiful!

I love these! The snow in Colorado is so much more beautiful than when it snows in Oklahoma (I’m finding this out, not that I didn’t know it before, heh). Great pics!

      Lovely!

      Gorgeous, as always!

love love love, my dear! If I can ever find a guy to snuggle with we’ll come play in the snow with you!

The third and the last one are my favourites! So beautiful!

They definitely made a wise choice in photographers to document the occasion. 🙂
