Are you up for more album layouts? It’s my busy album season. Here’s a portrait album that I designed as a studio sample, using images from this fun photo shoot in Denver last summer. It will be a 10″x10″ fine art book. I really want to start presenting more albums to my portrait clients, because these books are such beautiful keepsakes.

Hey Charlotte…I know you probably get this a lot, but I was wondering if you could give me some camera advice. I’m asking for a new digital camera for Christmas, as my old one has broken (and was only 4.1 megapixels). Things I’m looking for are high-quality (so I’m thinking pretty high megapixels) and a camera that basically is forgiving for my lack-of skills. 🙂 Make sense? What would you recommend? I’m trying to make my list for my family. I have a 1-year-old who I will be taking LOTS of pictures of.

I saw you mentioned that you just get the album companies to print the books themselves, but do you mind if I ask what company you print the albums with?

My boyfriend & I would like to get some photos of us, but I can´t find someone in the near that I´m satisfied with since I saw your pics.
These have been so fabulous, and great timing for me– I finish finals this week and my first projects next week, when I start focusing back on the business full-time, are albums. I’ve heard that some people like Photoshop and some like LumaPix, and I think I’m going to just try both and see how it works.

I’d love to have one like this of my family, too! I really need to make myself some books of my own family one of these days. 🙂
We had so much fun that day. We didn’t really count locations; instead we just wandered around their neighborhood in downtown Denver until we were done shooting. The results tell the story of their family in the places where they live.
I use WHCC for my online pro lab, and a local print expert for my more complex orders. For albums, though, I just have the album companies print and bind the layouts.
I really love this one!! I remember these pictures from when you posted them, and I think they’re fabulous. I love the album layouts, too. I would love to have a book like this of my family.
