The wedding album of Sara and Cary
Album cover: back, spine, and front

Here’s an album design that I finished recently. Sara and Cary got married at Lost Creek Ranch in Silverthorne, Colorado a few months ago. They chose a 9″x12″ Fine Art Book with 40 pages. The Fine Art Book is a contemporary album that really suits Sara and Cary’s artistic style. She is a graphic designer, and the flower image on the back cover is her own design.

I love the way that the natural scenery matched their wedding’s color scheme. I’m sure Sara planned it that way, though!

Oh, trust me…nothing in the works. It’s been almost 30 years, I can wait awhile longer…I think πŸ˜‰

I’m glad you noticed that! The whole day was blue and yellow, in many different ways.

We have the 50mm 1.4, but Mike usually uses that one. I prefer the 85mm 1.8, although I think I primarily used the 24-70mm 2.8 on this particular day.

Thanks, that’s one of my favorites of the year, I think. The sky was spectacular that night.

I’m always happy to travel! But take your time preparing for that occasion. πŸ˜‰

The colors the bride chose were so perfect for the setting!

Thanks! I loved the sky full of stars. The high-res version of that dusk photo shows all the sparkles in the sky.

Actually this style of album opens flat and has no gutter. It won’t be a problem at all. πŸ™‚

      nice!
about the 2 page wide spread picture, aren’t you afraid that the bride and groom will end up lost in the fold of the book?

Great job again – I especially like that last page. Something about the juxtaposition of the warm, inviting cabin and that dark sky is so nice – and it evokes their wedding colors just a little, too.

Wow! The pictures just get better and better! For your portraits do you use a 50mm or an 85mm? What aperature? I love the night pictures!

I love that the sunflower motif carries through the entire album… lovely!

      another beautiful job!

I still like that long exposure picture of the evening sky. It’s definitely one I never get tired of looking at.

Great job on the album and I enjoyed the pictures all over again!

Once again, beautiful work! I love the one against the sunset where they are almost in silhouette.

What are the odds of getting you to Birmingham, should the occasion ever arise? πŸ˜‰

I Love the blue in these! Just beautiful!

oof! That photo at dusk is just amazing, and I love your use of the fisheye lens.

      they’re beautiful!
