Alexis and Whit
      Sample wedding album
Album cover: back, spine, and front

I designed a sample album with the photos from my most recent wedding. Alexis and Whit had a gorgeous wedding at the Oxford Hotel in Denver, so I thought I would make a sample album to display at the hotel. I designed this album to show off the features of the hotel and its surrounding areas in LoDo. It will be a 9″x12″ Fine Art Book with a full-bleed photo cover.

The picture of the groom and groomsmen in the alleyway looks like it could be an album cover, or the next Ocean’s movie. So classy. I love the shot of the bride and groom kissing in the street too. So cute!

Oh, nothing’s really going on. My husband and I will be in DC visiting my sister and her husband, so it might be fun to have a little portrait session – but it definitely wouldn’t be worth the travel fees.

We’ll catch you when someone flies you out to Seattle for a wedding. =)

I just realized that I gave you the wrong album company for this particular album. This one will be printed by Vision Art, and the other one that I posted recently will be Renaissance.

Thanks! I lay out the album pages in Photoshop, and then I have professional album companies print them. This particular book will be printed by Renaissance Albums.

I’m not sure yet what my DC travel schedule is yet for the spring, but I usually come in April and/or May. What’s going on at Easter time for you? I’m open to travel ideas. ๐Ÿ™‚

      How grand!

      Charlotte and Staff,

Great! I certainly do get to witness lots of fun and creative wedding ideas.

It’s great! Your pics are stunning as always.
What SW do you use to create the photobook? Do you use an online service to have it printed (like Lulu.com)?
      Thanks for your tips.

I just love following your blog. It’s given me some great inspiration, as I’m an event planner.

that’s Fantastic charlotte! really thoughtful on your part. something i think for your little investment, will bring you a LOT of return! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks, Andrea! I can’t wait to see the finished book!

Wow, what a great compliment, thanks!

      Thanks, Jenna! ๐Ÿ™‚

The hotel didn’t ask for a sample album, but they did ask for photographs. I told the that I’d give them a CD of pictures that they might find useful. The album will be a surprise. I hope they like it enough to show it to lots of people!

Thanks! It’s great to get a guy’s opinion on such things. ๐Ÿ™‚

I was psyched when the guys wanted pictures in the alley. They were totally cool.

Thanks, Lisa! It was such a cool wedding!

That’s so nice of you, Thumper, thanks!

These, the album pages and the photos, are amazingly gorgeous!

      Wow. Beyond words!

I wish I had been able to hire you to do our wedding. Our album is nowhere NEAR as amazing as that.

Great job! I really like the fact that it still looks like a wedding album, not like an ad for the hotel, although it does a great job of showing off some of the things the hotel has to offer. (Also, I love the kid pictures. I’ve got a thing for kid pictures.)

Out of curiosity, are you going to be in DC near Easter (March 23rd)?

So much ambience in so many of these shots–so wonderful, Charlotte!

how much do you charge for album design? oh and can you use your photos, ’cause they are WAY nicer than any of mine! ๐Ÿ˜‰

curious, did the hotel ask you for a sample or did you approach them? i’m sure many of your venues, you develop fantastic relationships with the managers/owners- either way, what a GREAT way to advertise yourself in your target market! ๐Ÿ™‚

you’re going to be speaking at tampa one of these days if you’re not careful! ๐Ÿ˜‰

The guys pictures look like album covers.

      Nice touch!

My favorite ones by far are the ones of the groomsmen: that is so Rat Pack.

GORGEOUS! Great wedding & a beautiful album.

      Absolutely beautiful!

I do believe you’ve found your calling… this is what you were born to do. ๐Ÿ™‚
