      Molly dogsledding
      Breckenridge, Colorado
      February 25, 2010

Here’s the final set of our family vacation photos! This last set includes pictures from our dogsledding adventure with Good Times Adventures in Breckenridge. We had such a great time together last week. I wish we could do it all over again. These photos are by Molly, me, and my mom. Thanks for all the wonderful pictures, Mom and Molly! And thanks to all of you for coming out to visit us. It meant so much to Mike and me to have you here. Come back soon!

      My wonderful parents

      Dogsledding in Colorado

This dog gave Timmy the sweetest little kiss.

Then Kenna and Robby fell over laughing.

The dogs were happy, affectionate, playful, and a total joy to be around.

I loved the black lab that was chosen as one of the leaders of the pack.

Afterward we had hot chocolate by the fireplace.

      My mom and me

The next day was time for us to take them to the airport and say goodbye. I managed to grab a couple more pictures at the airport before they had to go.

      My dad and me

      The four of us

Finally, here is what I believe to be the only photo of all nine of us! Truly this cobbler’s family has no shoes. I want to make it my mission to have some family portraits done of all of us. Thanks very much to Good Times Adventures for taking this portrait of us!

yes, that’s what I found, too…any time we stopped the dogs would bark like crazy b/c they wanted to get going again.

oh man, I love dogsledding! i have only done it once, and it was in minnesota where it was crazy cold, but it was so fun. I would definitely like to do it again in Colorado sometime. those dogs are beautiful.

I loved the black lab! He is the house pet of one of the guides, and she brings him to work with her. He loves running with the other dogs, and and is so smart that he gets to be one of the leads.

And I want to be you. Maybe we can trade places for a day.

I was really worried the first time we went dogsledding that it might be abusive to the dogs. It turns out that they are very happy and healthy, and the only times they were unhappy were the times they were about to run but weren’t allowed to start yet. They LOVE their jobs.

It’s so difficult to get everyone in one place for a great group photo! I definitely understand!

      Kenna’s name is Kenna… it’s not a nickname. πŸ™‚

SOOOO cute. it looks like so much fun. what a great day!

i love how some of the dogs look like they are smiling or winking. i also thought of the black lab, “one of these things is not like the other!” but my favourite dog is the ROFL dog in picture two. lol

when i grow up i want to be you.

or at least photographed by you. you totally make me want to get married again.

SO CUTE. I love that there’s all huskies and then the one lil lab at the front πŸ˜€ It’s so good to hear that the dogs sound happy and well taken care of – I always worry about that.

      very nice shots!! %)
and dogs…. – the are amazing!!!

Oh, the dogs! I want to hug them all.

I love the picture of your whole family – I’ve been thinking for a while that I want to have family pictures taken of my husband’s whole family (his parents, five siblings, six spouses/significant others including me, and our five nieces and nephews). Finding a time and place and photographer are pretty complex, though, so I don’t blame you for not having lots of pictures.
