Yaki and Kristen

      August 16, 2008

Kristen and Yaki had a gorgeous setting for their wedding on Saturday. They got married at a winery in the Sonoma Valley, in a colorful garden surrounded by vineyards. Their reception took place inside a huge room filled with barrels and the sweet aroma of wine. Mike and I had never photographed a wedding at a winery, and we loved it! We especially loved Kristen’s free-spirited approach to being a bride, and all the hilarious moments with her equally fun friends. What made this wedding particularly special were the people who had traveled long distances to be there, including Yaki’s parents who had come all the way from Israel.

Congratulations, Kristen and Yaki! Thank you so much for including us in your wonderful wedding weekend!

Kristen had written funny descriptions of each of her “un-bridesmaids” in the program.

I love this moment when Kristen showed her friends the fabulous red boots she had chosen to wear.

      Yaki was looking great!

Kristen’s friends gave input on the placement of the flowers in her hair.

This was the moment when Kristen and Yaki saw each other before the ceremony.

This is one of my favorites of the day. What a gorgeous moment as they see each other for the first time.

Kristen had a stunning bouquet of mango calla lilies and pink roses.

One of my favorite parts of the day was this moment when Yaki’s mother saw him before the ceremony.

A cute moment between Kristen and her parents, just before walking down the aisle.

      First kiss

The cocktail hour offered the guests lots of opportunities for wine tasting.

I borrowed their rings to take a picture of them with a wine bottle. I love the Cline Cellars logo in the background.

They displayed wedding photos of relatives. I saw this nice moment when Kristen’s father looked at one of the pictures.

What a great photo of her grandparents

It was a funny moment when her friends discovered her red boots under her dress!

They had costumes for the guests!

      What a fun looking wedding!

What a darling couple! And a great venue! Charlotte and Mike, you did a beautiful job of capturing their happy day. I love the photo of the cake, and image of Kristen and Yaki receiving a toast. Also, that’s got to be the coolest bouquet I’ve ever seen. Tamera

      again, GREAT photographs πŸ™‚

      and her bouquet is gorgeous!

What a gorgeous couple and what stunning photographs.

      :)!!

We clearly don’t act our age all the time, so I’m only mildly ashamed to say OMG!! These are beautiful!! And I’m definitely going to venture to say that it’s not just b/c I’m in some πŸ™‚ I hope we get to see the ones of you & your hubby in the photo booth, too! Sorry my skill isn’t *anywhere* near yours — but eee, I’m so happy at work looking at Kris & Yaki looking so gorgeous :)!! Thanks for doing such a terrific job (and for your help in cooling down that train car, too!)!!

      Very nice

Brilliant photos, as always Charlotte. Great job!

Beautiful photos! (as usual *grin*) And I must say that I love Cline’s Zinfandel…one of my favourite wines.

I just love these! You’re so talented. πŸ™‚ Well, you BOTH are. πŸ˜€

      hello

these are so lovely compared to the engagement ones taken;) she looks so beautiful….:)

What a fun wedding! I laughed out loud at the Michael Phelps dance move–hilarious! πŸ™‚

I love the mother’s pink dress!!!

Beautiful as always! I enjoyed the picture of the pregnant friend with her daughter, the one of the bride with her parents before the ceremony and, of course, the shot at twilight.

This couple seems really great – very laid back and fun.

You did a great job with these. I especially love the one after their first kiss – that one’s my favorite from this wedding. (I love those shots of the couple with beautiful scenery – it feels like they’re having this private moment and you’re just watching… in a not-creepy way…) I also really like the two that show the room before there are people in it (one’s the whole room and the other is just one table) with the barrels in the background. Aand that last picture is lovely, too.

OMG! Cline is one of the wineries I toured when in CA with my sister-in-law!!! How fun πŸ˜€ We did NOT get to see the big barrel room, though πŸ˜‰

Do they still have the Red Truck parked out front?

They had a really nice guy who helped us buy a LOT of wines that day πŸ˜€

This couple looks SO FUN. I would have loved to have been invited to that wedding.

And of course – no surprise – you captured it gorgeously!

Beautiful as always! I enjoyed the picture of the pregnant friend with her daughter, the one of the bride with her parents before the ceremony and, of course, the shot at twilight.
