Yaki and Kristen

What a great weekend it was! Mike and I flew out to San Francisco to photograph the wedding of Kristen and Yaki. It’s always a huge honor to be invited to travel to people’s weddings, and San Francisco was particularly fantastic. It’s perhaps my favorite city in the world, so it was a thrill to go back. Kristen and Yaki made the experience even better, because they had such a fun, laid-back attitude about their wedding.

On Friday evening, we met with Kristen and Yaki for their engagement session. It was only one day before their wedding, so we helped them celebrate their final day of engagement! Kristen chose Fort Mason as a waterfront setting for their photos. It gave us lots of great locations for portraits, including lush green trees and dramatic warehouses along the water. The only problem was that the fog completely hid the Golden Gate Bridge (and the rest of the city) during our entire time in SF. Next time I’ll come back in the spring or fall!

Mike and I had so much fun with Kristen and Yaki over the weekend. Stay tuned later in the week for photos of their wedding at a winery in Sonoma!

It was really cold and windy! They were adorable when they cuddled up together.

      Hey you!!

Great Pics of the beautiful bay area and a very sweet couple! I’m sure you and Mike know that you always have a place to stay with Dave and I when you come to visit out here!! Just let us know when you want to come out this way next…we’d love some pics with our new dog and in our new house!!

      Ben and Sandra (Kristen’s parents)

      Her legs are spectacular!

      Excuse me for saying so!!

I like how you said they were fun and laid back, except for the part about what photographer to hire. Then there were smart and flew you both out there!!!

Awesome photos, she looks so girlish and he looks like her prince charming. I wish them well!

My sister-in-law and I took a lady’s long weekend trip to San Francisco for our birthdays in early February one year…it was LOVELY. People said the whole time we were there how odd it was that it was sunny and warm and not foggy and raining πŸ˜€

Hard to believe that the same would be true for AUGUST!

      Gorgeous photos!!

it’s so cool to see photo evidence that YOU WERE HERE. can’t wait to see the winery! it’s probably one i pass driving all the time!

I was just at Fort Mason in June! πŸ™‚ Great pictures!

I see a lot of other people’s engagement photos and all I think is that they can’t even compare to the ones you do.

they had so much energy to do up the engagement photos the day before!! I can’ t wait to see ur napa valley pictures!

Mark Twain (supposedly) once said “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.” And DAMN it is true! I love my city and everything but summer in the city is so unpredictable!

These are beautiful, I’m so glad you got to come to SF! :]

Can’t believe you were in my town and I didn’t get to take advantage of it!

      Lovely portraits, as always. πŸ™‚

Lovely pictures! It’s fun to see some familiar locations in your pictures. Looking forward to the wedding pictures, and the next time your in the Bay Area. πŸ™‚
