Kristen and Eric
      Red Rocks, Morrison, Colorado
      June 26, 2008

Last week I met up with Kristen and Eric in Morrison for their engagement portraits. When I first met Kristen, I had a feeling that she would be fun to photograph, and I was right! She and Eric keep each other laughing and I love their playful spirit.

Kristen and Eric, I had a great time, and can’t wait to do it all again in October!

We started with margaritas at the Morrison Inn.

Then they challenged each other to a pinball match.

Kristen made it tough for Eric!

After drinks, we headed to Red Rocks. The sky was beautiful that evening!

      How cute are these guys?

      One of my favorites

      Another favorite of mine

After sunset, we headed back to Morrison to wander around the town.

In this shot, a passerby was congratulating them and they were grinning in response.

Kristen and Eric told me that they wanted their photos to say “Colorado,” so here’s my literal interpretation of their request. πŸ˜‰

      They have the best expressions!

      Fun Fun Pictures

The pictures are incredible. It appears that you and Eric are having a great time! Almost like a love story….LOL!

Okay, so I’m scrolling through this post and thinking “I know this couple from somewhere.” Ah, we met with them! They are so adorable and it looks like you had so much fun with their e-session. Have a blast at their wedding, I’m sure it will be gorgeous! -Michele @ IN Photography

      Re: Fun!

How wonderful to hear that, thanks! I can’t wait to meet you!

      What wonderful complements, Fish, thanks!

You may not have a lot of Colorado skies, but you do get to travel to some of the most amazing places in the world. I think you win. πŸ™‚

muahahaha… you’re onto my secret! Actually I think all couples who are so inclined should have a drink before their photo shot. Most people are nervous when we get started, so a drink or two loosens them up a bit. πŸ™‚

I know what you mean! This awesome nice girl definitely deserves the cutie pie groom. I screened your comment, though, in case the bride might be offended by it.

Thanks! I love engagement sessions, because they aren’t limited by the time constraints of the wedding day, and because they are much more casual and carefree. Wedding days bring a lot of pressure for couples, so it’s tough to get the same kind of spirit then.

Their wedding is going to be a lot of fun!

Thanks! Evening light is so magical.

I’m glad! I even think the wide blue skies say Colorado. πŸ™‚

I love the one where she’s showing off her ring! Awesome job, as usual. πŸ˜€

They are such a cute couple! Your work is awesome, as always!

      Stunning, as usual!

These photos definitely seem like they express their personalities. Awesome shots, as usual, Charlotte.

      Fun!

So lucky I get to be in their wedding party! Charlotte you have captured them amazingly!!!!

You do know your ability to find whimsy, colour and personality on such a consistent basis makes it hard for the rest of us to try and keep up right?

Great series of images, I love the beer mugs and pin-ball. I have looked at those images a few times, and crack up every time!

The untraditional ring shot is wonderful and how can I even try and compete with those long , endless, beautiful Colorado skies and clouds?

      …..as always, fantastic work!

I love the Morrison Inn’s margaritas! And haha what a sneaky trick–you get your clients drunk before you photograph them! Easy way to get them to relax! I love it! heehee πŸ˜›

      love them all!!

Haha, also, I feel strangely bad about this, but I like this set because she looks like me, not like a model, and her husband-to-be is totally adorable. I just love it when the awesome nice girl wins πŸ˜€

      TOO CUTE.
Wow! What a fun couple! I can’t wait to see their wedding pics!
I think your engagement portraits are my favorites…they are always so fun and light and beautiful πŸ™‚

What an awesome set of photos. They look like a lot of fun. I’ll look forward to seeing their wedding photos. I love the ones where they walking with that huge sky behind them. Simply stunning!

LOOOOOVE the very last shot – the evening light is so beautiful! πŸ™‚

Haha, I love that second-to-last picture.

I think you succeeded – all of the pictures say Colorado, not just the one with all the CO license plates. =)

LOOOOOVE the very last shot – the evening light is so beautiful! πŸ™‚
