Last weekend I traveled to Maryland to photograph Jenny and Brian’s wedding. May in Maryland is lush and green with vibrant flowers everywhere, and I particularly loved this dogwood tree. Jenny and Brian got married outside a stone mansion built in the 1700s. It was a wonderful location for a wedding, with lush green lawns, elegant patios, and a grand tent for their party. Congratulations, Jenny and Brian!

My friend and colleague, Heather Clarke, photographed this wedding with me. Thanks so much, Heather!

As the wedding party walked to the reception, I saw this sweet moment between Jenny’s parents.

I loved this moment, too. Just seconds before they were announced at the reception,
Jenny and Brian stood outside the tent and savored the moment.

I have never seen such a fun group of guests!

Looks like it was a happening reception! Wow, those people really had some great moves ๐Ÿ™‚ I love all the photographs, but I do have to say that my favorite was the last one. It captures the day in one picture. Wonderful job.

These are beautiful! Congrats Jenny and Brian! XOXO Rebecca Pohl

That’s lovely! I love the first one. So very elegant, and yet, there’s something humble about it.

      Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜€

That’s a great idea! It sounds like the perfect way to celebrate ten years. ๐Ÿ™‚

In December we’ll celebrate our 10th anniversary and I am hiring one of my favorite wedding photographers to do a sort of engagement-esque portrait session for us.

      Hopefully I’ll get something wall-worthy!

I’m so glad you enjoyed them, Teri!

It was a perfect combination of elegance and fun!

Thank goodness for friends! My friends saved my wedding, too. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love pocketwatches, too. Here are some photos for you:

I was in awe of that dogwood tree. I miss dogwoods ever since I moved away from the east coast.

I’m sorry that you were disappointed in your own photos! Maybe it’s time to plan a portrait session to make up for it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you! I love the night shots that I took that evening, especially the one of the tent glowing under the night sky.

I thought the little details of their wedding were so beautiful that I was shocked when I learned that some of them were homemade. Really well done.

The trim on her veil was just beautiful. I love long veils!

      I’m excited, too! I can’t believe it’s just a month away!

I was so happy that they were willing to walk into that field of tall flowers!

Ha, thank you! It truly was a gorgeous day.

      Thanks, Tamera! ๐Ÿ™‚

and she had the flowers I *wanted*, but my florist failed to deliver on. Luckily my maid of honor is an undiscovered Martha Stewart and was able to make them presentable ๐Ÿ˜‰

Absolutely stunning. I love them all but the two that stand out the most for me are, the night shot where the building is lit up, and the one of them that is just before the photo of the grandfather.
