These guys are fun! I had a great time with Grace and Johan last week at their engagement session, and it looks like they had fun, too! We wandered around Bear Creek Lake Park and then Red Rocks. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in a couple weeks!

      The many faces of Johan

I love it when couples’ body language mirrors each other

      pretty!

the picts were so professionally taken! and the location is beautiful!

if only there are such nice places to take pictures here in s’pore!

the 2nd last one is beautiful

awwww they look SO HAPPY! I want to cry its so sweet

they look like they are sooo much fun 🙂

they seem to have so much fun together!

Oh yes, I get clients like that all the time. In fact, I’d say that almost all of my clients start out like that. It’s just weird to pose for a photographer. 😉

What I do is spend the first 10-15 minutes observing people, to see what makes them light up and lose their self-consciousness. People usually soften a little in the arms of someone they love. Other people aren’t into PDA, but like to laugh and joke around. Other people just don’t realize how attractive they are, and need to see a photo on the back of the camera to see themselves through my eyes.

After I’ve learned what makes each person shine a little, my photo shoots really start taking off. I usually tell my clients that the first 15 minutes of a shoot don’t really count, and now you know why! That’s why I prefer to shoot for 1.5-2 hours instead of just 30-60 minutes.

Fortunately they don’t have to choose just one. They’re getting an entire engagement album. 🙂

Yes, he’s between her and the camera in that photo, but in this series, he’s actually jumping over her!

1st) That first picture is the BEST PICTURE EVER!

2nd) This is an adorable couple and love all the shots

3rd) I am so envious of your choices for locations

      Great job as usual!

What a fun couple! Gorgeous shots and I love the way you have captured their personalities.

These pictures are so fun and adorable. I love them. They look like they were fun to photo.

These are all just so fabulous!

Charlotte, do you ever have a couple or one of a couple(perhaps it’s more likely to be the guy) who is not comfortable, or just feels foolish during a photo session? I wonder if you have any suggestions, based on your experience, of things that the photographer can do or say to help someone feel more comfortable about having their picture taken?

How could they possibly choose just one photo for their engagement announcement? All of these photos are so amazing and really capture the love they have for eachother and how much fun they have together. Great job!
      🙂

What a fun couple! These shots really show their personalities, great job (as always)!

      I love everything about #1.

      OMG! great pics! 🙂
What fun, they seem like a blast, i love a LOT of those pics. 🙂

They are a beautiful couple! Johan reminds me of Julia’s friend Daniel, who she swears she will marry someday. hehe

i am amazed at these action shots. the first one looks like he is jumping over her. but i guess since she is watching him, he is between her and the camera?

brilliant. (oh and for what its worth, i loooooved the action shot of your high school senior pic — the one wehre she is jumping over the fence…!)

      What a fun couple!

The first one is classic. I especially love the detail of her playing with her hair as she watches.

      These are such fun photos!
I always have loved Red Rocks, the rocks are so awesome, and looks like a great place for photos.

They look like such a fun couple! And how cute are their matching sneakers! I love how you catch people’s expressions and Johan looks like he’s great at performing for the camera. What a perfect combination.

Aww, they’re adorable. Congratulations and all the best for them. %u2665%u2665
