Here are more photos of our fun at weddings!

      Mike, hunting deer again

Another photo by Steve Tinetti of us with Erin and Jason

      Cool shot by Steve

      Steve in the jungle

Steve found a shovel in the tall grasses.

This one makes me laugh… Steve took this picture of Mike and me eagerly
trying to photograph the porcupines that arrived at the reception.

Mike and Steve. For some reason, Mike is carrying his tripod with no hands.

For Matt and Amy’s wedding in Keystone, we had to take a 30-minute gondola ride to the top of the mountain.

Look Ma! My life is A-OK!

Nice view for a day of “work.”

Getting down and dirty with Amy and Matt in Keystone

Mike climbed up a big hill to get a good angle for some pictures–no easy feat at an altitude of 11,000 feet.

We were standing on a ski slope, so here I am doing some imaginary skiing.

      Mike prefers snowboarding.

      With snowboarding comes falling.

More fun on the ski slopes of Keystone.

On the way down after the wedding, the rain started. The timing couldn’t have been better.

You might remember my Fearless Bridal session with Jessica. Here are some more behind-the-scenes pictures from that shoot.

I’ve posted this one before, but it’s one of my favorites.

I got out of chronological order here, but here’s one that my assistant Tom Sanderson took of me with Jessica.

Another one by Tom. Thanks, Tom!

Here we are at Wild Basin Lodge, near Rocky Mountain National Park.

I sneaked a self-portrait while Tracey was getting ready on her wedding day.

      Dancing with the flower girl

Showing a funny picture to the groomsmen

Getting attacked by an antler chandelier

      Car bombs all around!

Maybe if he curls up really small, people won’t notice he’s there.

Mike, happy to be in the mountains near Silverthorne.

One of Mike’s jobs is to do all the manly stuff, like remove logs when I don’t like the way they look. πŸ˜‰

      During the ceremony

Hurrying to get out of their way during the recessional (after I took the pictures I needed).

With Sara and Cary and their wedding party

Mike and I often play the game of I’ll-take-a-picture-of-you-taking-a-picture-of-me.

The next day we were back at lovely Keystone.

I went upstairs and looked out the window of a hotel room to take a group photo of everyone.

My friend Tamera Goldsmith photographed Grace and Johan’s wedding with me.

At their delicious Italian lunch reception

Later that night, Mike and I drove to Denver for Grace and Johan’s evening party on a rooftop patio in LoDo.

In Manitou for Charlotte and Mike’s wedding a couple weeks ago. By the way, that’s a Shootsac
camera bag that I’m carrying in many of these photos. I have a gray cover and an aqua one.

Can you tell that I love my job?

      Great behind the scenes

What a nice montage. I have to agree…the one with Mike in fetal position is priceless. You both go to such great lengths! And have fun with it!

that was me, and it should read “i think i put that pic IN our photo……..”

i think i put that pic is our photo album that i did on my publisher!

photography is what i’ve enjoyed since HS…..however it won’t be anytime soon that i pursue it. although i do want to get a digital SLR for christmas so maybe i can start practicing. πŸ˜‰

Oh Charlotte I didn’t know my face was on your blog! How funny! You’ll have to post that one of me and the scary clown sometime LOL :o) Tamera

Mike in the fetal position made me gigglesnort.

That’s from all the human blood they drink.

I hope you do whatever it is that you’ve been dreaming about! Life is moving along quickly, so now is a great time to consider it. Can I ask what it is that you’re considering?

By the way, some of my favorite behind the scenes photos are from your wedding! We had so much fun with you guys and all the firemen. πŸ™‚

Thanks, Alisha! We certainly do love what we do! I hope you stay in touch when you get married, because we could have some fun together. πŸ™‚

Hi Janelle! I hope you and Chris have as much fun shooting together as Mike and I do. When they play your wedding song at the receptions, you guys should dance together. We do. πŸ˜‰

Thanks! I’m glad you like the yearly favorites! I’m not sure yet what to include this time, but it will be fun to choose. πŸ™‚

Jessica had a great idea with those bags. I especially love all the feminine fabric options, to add a girly touch to all the black camera gear.

How cool that you’re in England! Mike’s from Somerset, near Wells. It’s about 20 miles south of Bath and Bristol.

Aren’t the porcupines awesome? That wedding took place at Beano’s Cabin at Beaver Creek resort in Colorado, and apparently the porcupines are frequent visitors. You can see the pictures HERE.

Porcupines are actually a lot cuter than I would have expected. Their faces look like cartoon characters. But they have red teeth that freaked me out a bit.

I hope to teach someday, so maybe I’ll head over to that side of the pond to do it sometime. πŸ™‚

LOL! Don’t worry, we can put her in the water instead!

very few people can say they love their job!
you make it look so easy and make me want to quit my job every day to pursue something i’ve been interested in since HS………………………chances that i’ll ever do it, slim.
but i can live vicariously through you, right?

maybe someday…………….but it seems some of those laying on the ground moves and running up huge hills won’t be easy when i’m 50!

keep up the awesome work. you both are truly stars in my book!

I really liked seeing these pictures of you guys working. You both look like you have a fantastic time, not to mention creating beautiful photographs! Hopefully you’re still doing this the day I get married, because I definitely would hire you!! πŸ™‚

      Great stuff!

Great behind-the-scene shots! Now, I’d love to see some behind-the-scenes work from the final party location of the DWF convention earlier this year. Hmm – wonder about those shots! πŸ™‚

I love the picture of you through the window. You and Mike sure had fun!

      I love the porcupine shots!
and the one of you watching the ceremony is beautiful.

damn lady. i want your life! πŸ™‚ thank you for sharing these. you and mike make an incredible team! i’m kinda looking forward to the end of this year, it means you’ll be posting your yearly favorites, its such a treat! πŸ˜€

Both sets of pictures look like so much fun! πŸ™‚

      ditto!

      how adorable :]

the porcupine didn’t look threatening at all.

These were so much fun! It really does look like you guys love your job!

I love these. And the funniest part is, on that third from the bottom photo, I hadn’t scrolled down enough to see the caption yet, and I was thinking, “OK, I hope she doesn’t mind if I ask her what those camera bags are.” Then I saw the caption with that exact information. I’m looking at the webpage now…I had no idea that Jessica Claire had designed these. I’ve heard of Shootsac before, and I’ve heard of Jessica Claire’s wedding photography, but for some reason the link surprised me. Anyway, off to peruse the website…

It’s so great seeing all these pictures of you and Mike having fun with what you do!

And the picture of Mike and the porcupine is amaaaazing! πŸ˜€

Can I ask where in England Mike is from? (I just moved over here to England for six months :])

I love the one where it looks like Mike is chatting with the porcupine! Amazing!

these are so fun! i loved every one!

(i love seeing pictures people have taken of me in action at weddings, too. πŸ™‚

I’m waiting for you to write a book and include these behind the scenes photos. πŸ˜‰

I love these “behind the scenes” shots. πŸ™‚

I also noticed that in your “self portrait” shot, it’s actually a double-self-portrait! You’re not only in the hand mirror, but there’s also a side shot in the large mirror on the wall to the left.

Okay, WHERE do I have to get married to have porcupines arrive at my wedding?! lol thats so awesome!

can you link me to the pix from that wedding pls thx? πŸ˜€

      Wow, porcupines look freaky.

My mother has forbidden me to go into the water in my dress with you ;-). As much as I would loooove to.

      That was my favorite too.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the black and white one with the mirror!

wow! pictures are really fun πŸ™‚

it’s so cool to look at you from the other side of Atlantic ocean
I like your work so much and I can only dream about taking some lessons from you πŸ™‚

I love these behind-the-scenes views :)! It’s so cool to see you doing something you love and are AWESOME at! You can always tell true passion for a job :)!

These are lots of fun to look at it! It’s neat to get a view from your side of things for a change. And we get to see more of your beautiful face this way! =D

I forgot to ask about when you took pictures of Jessica in the water if you entered her photos on Trash My Dress? I so badly want to do that with my wedding dress since it’s still in a heap after 2 years of marriage on the floor of my parents house πŸ™‚
