I haven’t been posting much lately! Sorry about that. This is my wedding off-season, so I’ve been trying to spend more time in the beautiful weather than behind my computer. Still I thought it would be fun to do another Wedding Ideas post. Today’s theme is the favorite color of 50% of people: Blue! I see many shades of blue at weddings, including turquoise, periwinkle, navy, and indigo. I also see lots of subtle touches of the color, as brides incorporate “something blue” into their jewelry or flowers. My own wedding had a blue and purple color scheme, so this is a particular favorite of mine!

A great florist can work wonders!

Those three ladies were sisters, and I just love that photo of them together!

Small weddings are so romantic. I photographed a couple last fall who traveled to the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, to say their vows in tiny ceremony without any guests. Afterward, the two of them walked around the Broadmoor with me for portraits. It was exactly what they wanted for their wedding day, and I loved it. You can see the photos here: http://charlottegeary.livejournal.com/200198.html

I would absolutely love to do the same for you, if you are interested. Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you want to chat about it!

i LOVE sunflowers. 🙂 i don’t know how it will go with the beach theme of my wedding, but i’m sure my florist can figure it out! 🙂

Oh yes, and I love the style of their dresses, too!

It’s hard not to be happy when you’re surrounded by sunflowers!

That wedding took place in late summer, so the sunflowers were a beautiful choice.

The flowers at that wedding were so beautiful! Credit goes to Jean-Marie Designs in Colorado Springs.

Oh no! I hope nothing was lost! This suitcase was a brilliant idea — both decorative and functional.

ewerything is beautiful =) as always!

so many gorgeous and great ideas! i’m digging your idea posts.

love the photo of the 3 women in their blues, they just look genuinely happy!

This question isn’t really related to your post… have you ever photographed an elopement (just the bride and groom) and if so, where have they been? My fiance and I are probably going to go this route (and probably have a larger affair with friends and family at a later date).

If you’d be up for this, I’d like to talk more about possibly having you be the photographer since I’ve admired your work for so long. I live in Steamboat Springs.

I’ve been looking at elopement packages online, but I’m kind of having trouble finding things. And what I’ve found that include photography, the quality of the photos looks like if I were to have a friend take them with a point-and-shoot digital camera. I definitely don’t want to skimp on photo quality!

(Sorry if this comment is scattered and incoherent. It’s almost 1 a.m. and my 8-hour shift just ended.)

oh i love your photos! that blue in the shot before the cut… stunning!

Me too! I’d have those for my wedding!

And something blue will definitely be a part of my motiff.

i’m totally digging the sunflower centerpieces!!!!

So pretty! I especially love the last photograph – I have a special love for natural-looking floral arrangements.

I love the suitcase card holder thing idea! I was at a wedding over the summer and there were cards strewn about and falling off the gift table because there wasn’t a proper place to put them and I bet at least one fell off and was lost!

It’s a gorgeous venue! That wedding took place at Lost Creek Ranch in Silverthorne, Colorado.

      Re: Something Blue???

      LOL, that made me laugh.

      Something Blue???

      This sure sums it up!

Lovely compilation Charlotte, as always! You rock my blue push-up bra.

      🙂
