Randall and Kristin
Ten Mile Station
Breckenridge, Colorado
June 28, 2008
On Saturday, Mike and I had the fun opportunity to photograph a wedding in the middle of our favorite ski slopes. Kristin and Randall got married at Ten Mile Station at Breckenridge resort, a ski lodge halfway up the mountain. They had their ceremony outside on the patio, in front of a gorgeous mountain view, and then danced all night to a fantastic live band. Congratulations, Kristin and Randall!
I like this one of Kristin’s mother putting on her veil.
Before the ceremony, Kristin’s father walked her outside to see Randall for the first time that day.
Randall was outside waiting for her.
I love long veils!
On their way to the ceremony
The clouds were so dramatic that afternoon!
Kristin’s father held onto her veil throughout the ceremony. I like the symbolism in the hands in this photo.
Kristin’s parents, aunt, and great-aunt during a funny moment in the ceremony
Mike and I both loved her long veil!
The storm clouds began to roll in after the ceremony.
These lovely ladies sang along with the musicians during the cocktail hour.
I love it when couples take their formal photos before the ceremony, because that enables me to take photos of the guests during the cocktail hour.
Jamie, the best man
During the toasts
First dance
Dancing with her father
Randall dancing with his mother, while Kristin and her family cheer
They had a fantastic live band!
Mike climbed up the hill to get some twilight landscape shots.
It was a gorgeous night!

Hi Charlotte,
I’ve been lurking around your blog for quite some time (I friended you on my personal blog a while back), but I don’t believe I ever commented before. These pictures (as are all of your pictures) are simply beautiful. You take such amazing pictures, Charlotte!
I am just starting out in the wedding photography business, and I am learning a lot from your blog. It is always so enjoyable to look at your posts, I look forward to them every day.

There’s something about that pic, I just LOVE it!
If I were a millionaire, I’d fly you to Finland and re-do our wedding. 😀

I wish I could get that crispness. I use a canon 20D (getting ready to upgrade) and have great lenses (all 2.8 or faster)….not sure what the heck is going on
I love the shot of the wedding dress.

Re: hello
That would be awesome. 🙂
I love that one, too! You have to wonder what a baby is thinking at such a moment.
How fascinating! I love your perspective on such things!
Thanks! There was something so elegant and classic about those moments that I just started visualizing them all in b/w.
especially you getting all excited!
It’s true! I get all hyper when I get excited that that. It’s fun to love your job, isn’t it? 🙂
I love that one, too! That little girl was a complete doll all day!
Mike rules! He works so hard and is always quietly coming up with something cool. I don’t think he realizes how good he is.
I’m so glad! That’s one of my favorites of the whole day, but I wasn’t sure if anyone else would respond to it the way I do.
Thanks! Her mother put the gown there as they were getting ready, and we all gasped a little as we saw how the light illuminated the gown from inside. It was beautiful.
How cool! But I have to say that I don’t know which peaks they are! The mountains in that region all had some snow remaining, but it was melting fast. I would expect that much of it will be gone in a month.
Have fun!
Her veil was so beautiful in the mountain winds! I like this one, too:

I love this one with the little girl among the guests looking at Mike like, “What are you doing?” haha so cute.
I bet the long veil helped get some nice photos, too.
Oooh, look who got some great shots in there! Go, Mike!
I love the photo of Kristin’s dad holding her veil…it totally made me tear up.
I like the dress hanging from the light the best. Classic.
How did Greys and Torreys Peaks look? Still pretty snow-covered? I’m hiking them on 8/1.
Great photos. ^^
