We’re married! Mike and I are so happy. I’m Mrs. Charlotte Ann Geary Pritchard now! The wedding was absolutely wonderful, and everyone had a fantastic time. It was the best day of my life! In fact I loved the entire week leading up to it. We must have the greatest family and friends in the world.
I wish I had more time to write, but we’re at the airport now, and the plane is boarding. I’ll try to write more from Venice. We send our love to all of you!

Thats what I thought. I do alot of photography myself (just not professionaly), and Ive never really liked mid-day…but now here is my wedding and my dad was suggesting I have the wedding at 2pm so there is lots of time in between. I wanted the wedding at 3:30 so we compromised. Now its scheduled for 3:00 which is hopefuly a little better…or I will have to find shade.
If its overcast…great! And not too unlikly in Buffalo, but still not certain.

The sun at 2:30 is going to be high and quite harsh for photos. When the sun is that high, it washes out the scenery and adds harsh shadows on people’s faces. It really isn’t an ideal time for outdoor pictures, unless there is a lot of even shade. If you can find an area with lots of indirect light and even shade, you will have no problems. Even better would be an overcast day, if you can arrange it. 😉

Ive a photography question for you. If the sun’s transit is at 1:01, how well will pictures taken around 2:30 turn out?
I think I understand that you dont want to sun to be too high, but I want to start the wedding at 2:30 so that there is ample time between the wedding and the reception at 6:00 for pictures all over the place. If I start the ceremony later there will be less time…but Im hoping that 2:30 isnt too bad for pictures taken during the ceremony.
Any advice??
