Today’s wedding inspiration post is all about centerpieces! Most reception tables are decorated with beautiful flowers, like these magnificent arrangements by Design Works. I’ve also seen creative decorations made with candles, pine cones, willow branches, vegetables, and even crayons! I love it when couples personalize their receptions to reflect their personalities.

Thanks Charlotte! I’ve saved many of these as inspiration for my upcoming wedding. I’m setting up appointments with florists soon. 🙂

I like all of them, and perhaps each for different reasons.

I like the simple, but elegant ones, of course, but the quirky ones, like the tin can, brings a smile to my face. I have a tin can with a candle in it in my bathroom, and it throws off some wonderful, warm light. …now to bang a couple of holes in it!

The ones with the gerbra flowers bring back memories of my mom’s garden when I was growing up: we always had those flowers there; mostly red and orange. And then, I moved back to Vancouver, and we never had them again. I think my younger self was more enamored with roses at the time. But, now that I see those gerbras again, I think I appreciate them more now for the vibrant, simple, and humble flowers that they are.

Oh yes, that was one of my favorites. It was so simple and modern, and still elegant.

The cans with the holes were so cool! That whole wedding was a ton of fun — board games, s’mores, photo booth. Good stuff.

Those were two of the most creative weddings I’ve seen! The one with the tin cans can be seen here: http://charlottegeary.livejournal.com/173224.html

The wedding with the red hat was a cowboy-themed costume party. They had a formal ceremony and lunch reception in Vail, and then everyone changed into cowboy gear for an evening reception at a saloon. Unfortunately that wedding was three years ago, and I don’t have the photos online anymore. I’ll have to put them back up, because that such a fun wedding!

      lol, I’m a flower nerd. 😀

Gladiolas! I was trying to remember what those flowers were called. Thanks.

That’s so nice of you to say, thanks. I remember all too well how much work it is to plan a wedding, and I try to capture every detail that they’ve planned.

That’s one of my favorites, too!

I loved that one! It was for a cowboy-themed wedding. Notice also that the favors were framed black and white photos of everyone in attendance. I took those photos at the lunch reception, and edited and printed them in time for the evening reception. Guests were thrilled.

Ha! I’m glad I could illustrate your music for you!

Great! I’m glad they could give you some good ideas. 🙂

I have recently seen photos of a restaurant that brings all of their silverware, wrapped in cloth napkins and dropped into a mason jar. I think that would be a completely gorgeous tablesetting along with the tin cans.

awesome, i so think that less equals more. the simple ones are my fave and omg, the cans w/ holes and candles? love them!

and as always, nice captures of beautiful ideas!

I love the tin cans – simple and cheap, yet really effective!

And the hat? What’s the dealieo? Would love to see the other photos that go with that wedding!

oo, I love the gladiolas with the rocks. 🙂

I love so many of these! I love weddings. 🙂

      Gorgeous!!!

People work so hard to choose decorations that their guests will enjoy and that match the day…the way you have captured the fruits of the couple’s labor is so wonderful!

I know they appreciate all the hard work you do 🙂

i just loved that one with the pumpkin, autumn leaves and then the chocolate coloured napkins in the glasses – so pretty…

The centerpiece with the hat is so amazingly unusual – such a great idea!

      yeah, PRETTY!

thanks for posting this – i’m listening to Taj Mahal’s “Keepin’Out of Mischief Now” and it totally matches this post!

Lovely! I saved several of these pictures for inspiration. 🙂
