Newlywed Vanessa and Robin are greeted by bubbles

      June 10, 2006

I finished processing the photos from the wedding of the lovely Robin and Vanessa. Here are some more of our favorites from the day.

More photos of Robin and Vanessa

They had to drive themselves to the park, and got quite a laugh out of that!

The park was full of geese!

      Communion

After the ceremony, the guests waited outside with a surprise for the brides–a Rolls Royce!

      They loved it!

I haven’t been either, but I’m pretty sure it’s like heaven. (And I really want to get married on top of the mountain and ski down right after the ceremony.)

Of course anyone who I’d even think about marrying would understand this philosophy exactly. πŸ™‚

Fantastic! I’ve never been to Whistler, but Mike thinks it’s one of the the greatest places on earth. Count us in!

      Step 1: Choose venue
      Step 2: Choose photographer
      Step 3: Choose spouse
      (or something like that)

      πŸ˜‰

I’m sure you will enjoy my wedding at Whistler Mountain….. date sometime in the distant future, partner also yet to be determined…. but just so you now, you’re invited. And I might even let you ski after the special day is over! πŸ˜€

The shot with the geese is just AMAZING! It makes me wish a flock of geese were hanging out around the park when we got married. Its just so…odd, and yet so…cool!

I found your journal through the wedding photographers community, although I think I have commented on one of your shots in the past. I was going to add your journal but I didn’t want to just be one of the fans of your work who you might not take the time to get to know. So if you want to do a mutual friending that’d be swell but I’ll leave it up to you. Otherwise I think in general you’ve got a lot of talent, and this wedding was certainly unique. Not sure how it’d be with two brides to focus on, but you did a great job!

hahaha… I love the idea of adding bridal sparkle to a tattoo. It made me chuckle out loud. πŸ™‚

Sounds like a brilliant idea to me. πŸ™‚

      Re: lovely, as always Ü

I know what you mean! It’s definitely a physically demanding job! It’s especially difficult at high altitude, even more so when you are totally out of shape like me. πŸ˜‰ But I ride on adrenaline all day, and don’t crash until I get in the car on the way home.

Heh, the bride smoking with the tattoo is funny!

I had a friend who put stick-on “diamonds” on her back tattoo when she got married.

You know, I love the pics from my wedding. But I sure as heck wish I had known you back then instead πŸ™‚

Makes me want to have another wedding ceremony just so you could photograph it.

      lovely, as always Ü

hats off to you charlotte! i tried VAing (volunteer assistant-ing) with one of our country’s more popular wedding photographers and he made me use a fuji finepix s3. it was my FIRST time to use a DSLR and i carried the weight in my left hand for ~10 hours. the camera lens flash weighed more than a kilo and i could barely move my left arm because of pain the next day! and that was only ONE camera! i’m such a weakling. πŸ˜›

      lovely as always πŸ™‚

Looks like a ton of fun. πŸ™‚

We thought so, too! Two brides are twice as pretty as one.

These pictures are also absolutely amazing! How do you do it, seriously?! I think out of all of these the last one is my favorite.

      What a beautiful, joy-filled wedding.
