Tina and Craig
      Colorado Springs
      February 18, 2006

It was a true honor to photograph the wedding of Tina and Craig last weekend. Their lives were uprooted last fall when their New Orleans home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. They relocated to Colorado Springs, and in the midst of all the hardship their families have faced in recent months, they were able to plan a joyful wedding. This event embodied everything that I love about weddings. It demonstrated that love, family, and joy persist even in the face of tragedy.

Mike and I wish Tina and Craig a lifetime of happiness. Their relationship has already withstood unimaginable trials, so I know they can handle anything the future will bring them. Congratulations to both of them!

      More photos from their wedding

I love all the hands in this photo.

      Tina looked so glamorous!

This moment was so cute! The flower girl taught the ring bearer how to tie his shoes.

Waiting to walk her down the aisle

I love the faces on the boys on the left.

Here’s another great moment with one of the ringbearers.

It was an emotional moment for them to be announced as husband and wife.

Their families tackled them with hugs in the middle of the ceremony.

Their friends were there for them, too.

I think this looks like the most loving fun wedding! The bride is just gorgeous! Her dress is so pretty! Thanks for posting the photos. I loved seeing them.

Oh my gosh..the little boy learning how to tie his shoelaces…and the boys peeking around the corner…and the hug attack! Love these.

I just looked at these again and read where you mentioned they went through that mess in New Orleans. Wow.

Uhhh That white suits with the wide ties! Men really should wear white suits more often! So classy.

these made me misty. so great to hear a good story like that from that MESS! Here’s to a lifetime of joy & happiness.

Aww… the last picture made me cry 😀

Wow, lots of happiness along with some tearful, ummm, what do you want to call that? Relief that good things are ahead and they made it through all that?

      Charlotte, as always, splendid photos.

I especially love the joyful burst with the group sort of hug.
