Yesterday I photographed an event that is an annual tradition in Fairfax County: the Board of Supervisors Breakfast, hosted by Leadership Fairfax at the Fairview Park Marriott in Falls Church.
Leadership Fairfax is an educational organization that provides training and experiential opportunities for rising leaders in business, government, and nonprofit sectors of Northern Virginia. Each spring, they host a breakfast for local leaders to converse with the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors about the state of the county.
I was excited to be in the same room as the entire Board of Supervisors and to hear what they had to say about their projects and priorities. What I hadn’t expected, though, was how fun and even silly the event would be. This year’s Breakfast had a baseball theme, which kept the presentations light-hearted and entertaining. I learned a lot, laughed a lot, and took plenty of photos for Leadership Fairfax.
