One of my favorite local traditions is the Reston Holiday Parade, a huge celebration at Reston Town Center that takes place every year on the day after Thanksgiving. The parade welcomes the holiday season with dance performances, balloons, community groups, and the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. This year we had bright blue skies and mild temperatures, which made the whole event even more fun.
Hello, Christmastime! It’s great to see you again.
Photo tip:
At a parade, stand on the side of the street that has the sun at your back. If you’re looking into the sun the whole time, your photos will be tough to expose.
Take a look at my Events gallery to see more photos of community and commercial events. Contact me if you’d like me to document an important moment for your or your organization.
