Every year on the day after Thanksgiving, Reston Town Center welcomes the arrival of the holiday season with a huge parade, and I love it every time. The Reston Holiday Parade includes dozens of performing groups, including dancers, bands, cheerleaders, costumed performers, steppers, and JROTC groups. The parade resembles the Macy’s parade in that it has huge balloons and performances in the town square. I love a hometown parade, especially when it showcases our community’s diversity and talent.
