Ever since we moved to Lake Anne seven years ago, I’ve looked forward to the free summer concerts every Thursday night. So of course I was delighted to be asked to photograph one of the concerts for Reston Community Center, especially since it was Latin dance night.
Once a month, a different type of dance is featured, and instructors provide free dance lessons in that style. This week the music was performed by Mambo Combo, and a dance instructor taught the crowd salsa moves. I was out there, camera and all, dancing along with everyone else.
So here’s how my neighborhood does summer evenings! Many thanks to Reston Community Center for yet another excellent event.
The Take a Break concert series is hosted by Reston Community Center and takes place at Lake Anne Plaza every Thursday night. Concerts are free and a ton of fun.
