One of my photo assignments for the weekend was a new summer entertainment series at Reston Station, which turned out to be a total blast to photograph. On Saturdays and Sundays all summer long, Reston Community Center is hosting a series of performers at Reston Station during the lunch hours. They call it “Summerbration Fun Brunch,” and it’s free and available for anyone who is strolling through Reston Station at that time.
Reston Community Center is one of my recurring (and favorite) clients, and they asked me to photograph this event for their marketing efforts. On the day that I was there, the entertainers were a juggler, a stilt walker, and a face painter. All three of them were excellent! I’m pretty sure I never stopped laughing the entire time.
I love the constant variety of my work! Every day is something fun and different, and this job was particularly wacky and fabulous.
Summerbration Fun Brunch takes place on Saturdays and Sundays through the summer of 2019, from 11am-1pm at the Reston Station Plaza atop the Reston-Wiehle Metro Station. Entertainment is free and fantastic.
