Melanie and Matt had a winter wedding at Shove Chapel three years ago. Looking back on their wedding day, they wished that they’d had a chance to take more portraits of the two of them. Finally they decided to get dressed up in their wedding attire and have the photo shoot they’d been wishing for. They asked me to take some photos of them in front of Shove Chapel, and then we headed to the Garden of the Gods for some great Colorado landscapes.

It was wonderful to have so much time with a bride and groom! I highly recommend post-wedding portrait sessions to any couple who would like a great variety of beautiful photos together. A wedding day is usually structured under a tight schedule, so this kind of portrait session is relaxed and freeing.

What fairy tales are made of! 🙂

      Hello

      Charlotte,

Those pics with the sunflowers are great

What a great idea. So many brides want to be able to enjoy their wedding without posing forever, but they want a variety of photos with their new husband. I think extending the portraits after the wedding is one of the best solutions. I love the panoramic one with the sunflowers.

      so fantastic landskapes!

Charlotte, these pics make me want to marry YOU! 😛 I’m in love with them! Yay!

A post-wedding photo session is such a great idea. I might have to bring it up to my husband. These photos are gorgeous.

beautiful work! i especially love the first image. you take advantage of the light so well 🙂

      How lovely!

The sentimental part of me does like that Ben bought a suit that he still owns rather than having a tuxedo. Unfortunately, I highly doubt either of us would still fit in our wedding garb! :-O

That first picture is just *magical.*

That’s a really cool idea– post-wedding photo sessions, I mean.

It’s also looks like a really cool way to celebrate being married. I love the intimacy of these photos that say, “ah, yes: this is what it’s all about.” 🙂
