John Morse, candidate for Colorado State Senate
      Downtown Colorado Springs
      March 1, 2006

This afternoon I photographed John Morse for his campaign for State Senate. He’s a fascinating person, with an impressive background in community service as a police officer and paramedic. He also has a great sense of humor! We had a fun shoot along Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs.

I’d vote for the guy in the last photo. Nice work.

Wow! He’s a handsome man. And he looks like he has loads of charisma too =)

Man you TOTALLY achieved that! I can see the serious, the playful, the accessible. WOW!

Yes you do! We took most of those photos in the park across the street from the Mexican restaurant you went to. πŸ™‚

I got the gig through a referral from one of Mike’s former coworkers. She does a lot of political work, and it’s great that she thought of me. I’ll be sure to invite to you some grand political galas now that I’m all important and stuff.

Wow, you’ve got an impressive eye for detail! I hadn’t noticed that.

      Re: Affecting the votes

      I do my part!

Is it really as high as 49%? (sigh)

I think in that fourth picture he looks like some hard-cutting cable tv journalist. πŸ˜‰

The last one is my favorite, too. I hoped to capture many different aspects of his personality. πŸ™‚

It’s true–I’ve met so many interesting people through photography!

      Yeah it is!
Maybe I can learn a thing or two from you! πŸ™‚

Hi Andrea! It’s always great to meet a fellow Colorado photographer!

I saw you in . My name is Andrea and I live in Colorado as well!
      I love your work.

Both major party Presidential candidates in 2008 should have you take their official campaign photos.

      They’ll both appreciate your work.

Get on the line to Hillary Clinton and Condeleeza Rice today, since they will be the likely Democratic and Republican nominees, respectively!

Hey, I know Tejon St. πŸ™‚ How did you get this gig? Now hopefully you’ll hae friends in high places. πŸ˜‰

I like that his watch matches his tie. πŸ™‚

Very nice photos! I’m sure they’ll get him elected.

great shots as always! i agree, this is an interesting addition to your portfolio!

i like the 4th one, because his eyes match the shirt he’s wearing. and it’s the friendliest pic. πŸ™‚

      Oh… He is a democrat…

That’s why there were not any horns. πŸ˜›

      Affecting the votes

You’ve rallied him 20% more serious voters with #4 [morse05] and 40% more compassionate votes with #9 [morse20]!

(Note: The numbers can’t be much higher since only about 49% of the people vote.)

I like the last one. It makes him look very friendly and approachable. The 4th one makes him look very serious and reliable.

and, as usual, they’re all fantastic.

I LOVE the last one, he looks so much more relaxed and “himself” (even though I don’t know him, haha). The fourth shot is my favorite “official” one πŸ™‚

      GREAT job, as always –

The diversity of your clients is really interesting πŸ™‚ I think this is so cool! Nice shots!

these are awesome! and what a great addition to your portfolio!

Oops sorry, clicked the wrong reply button … πŸ™‚

Yeah I see Rembrandt lighting in 2 and 4 πŸ™‚
