I got a sad call from a friend who told me that her beloved golden retriever, Summer, was very sick and had only a few weeks left. She asked me to take some photos of Summer with her family as a final tribute.
I adore dogs (and even have a golden retriever myself), so my heart broke for my friend and her family when I heard this news. I visited them at their home in Franklin Farm to take portraits of the five of them in some of Summer’s favorite spots.
I’m very sad to say that Summer passed away a couple weeks after these photos were taken. She was a very loved dog, and I hope her family can find peace and comfort in this sad time.
