When I was in Virginia earlier this month, I took some maternity portraits of my good friends Heather and Scott. They are expecting their first child this summer, and I’m so excited for them! You might remember their baby shower photos; well here are their portraits!

That last time we took photos was perfect… thank goodness it didn’t rain, because it’s not like we could have restaged it!

That will be fun! My only tip is to try a few photos from a higher angle, looking down at her. It makes a self-conscious mom-to-be look a bit slimmer, while still looking preggers. 🙂
I cannot wait to get my camera in front of that little baby girl!
She was so easy to photograph. For that one, I asked her to walk away from me, and then turn her head to look at me. The look on her face was so perfect that I wonder if she missed her calling as a model. 🙂

I’d love to see you guys, too! I had such a whirlwind trip last time. I don’t have any trips planned right now, but I’m hoping to get there in September sometime. I don’t mind missing the DC summer heat. 😉
I loved the black and white series, too. There’s something so timeless about them that I hope their daughter will love to look at someday.

I love maternity portraits even more than wedding photos! The black and white set with the two of them are just so simple and lovely. My favorite is her belly on the right with their hands. Gorgeous! 🙂
