It has been a big month for me professionally! In addition to my solo photo show of the Women of Lake Anne, I also have a piece on display at Reston Art Gallery and Studios (RAGS) as part of their first invitational show.

For this exhibit, each of the nine members of RAGS selected a guest artist to present his or her work. It’s a huge honor to be one of the guest artists, since this is their very first invitational show. It’s especially wonderful that I was invited by the owner of RAGS, Pat Macintyre. She knows just about every artist in the area, but I was the one she invited. I am so grateful!

The show is running now, and will be on display at their gallery at Lake Anne Plaza, on the ground level of the tallest building there. It will be on display for only one more weekend, so please stop by on Saturday or Sunday if you can.

In the show, each invited artist’s work is displayed as a pair with a member’s artwork. Pat and I chose to feature Lake Anne Plaza in our artwork, and you can see our two pieces together in the picture above. I love how we use different styles and media to show our shared love of Lake Anne.

Here’s a better look at the photo that I have in the show. I took it a couple months ago from my friend’s balcony in the Heron House, never realizing that it would soon be on display in the gallery nine floors beneath where I was standing.

You can buy this 20×30 framed print at the show, or order it in a variety of sizes online HERE.

My whole family came to the show, including my husband, kids, and parents. They all came to the Women of Lake Anne show two nights earlier, too. I love my family and their support.

Thank you to Pat Macintyre and the other artists of the Reston Art Gallery and Studios for the honor of being in this show. I love what you add to the Reston community, and it is a thrill to get to join you this month.

The Reston Art Gallery First Invitational Show will be open to the public through Sunday, March 31, 2019. The gallery is open on weekends and is free to the public.

If you come to Lake Anne this weekend, please stop by RAGS to see this great show. While you’re there, please also check out my exhibit of the Women of Lake Anne, on display at Reston’s Used Book Shop through Sunday, March 31.
