What a beautiful spot for a wedding! Erin and Jason got married on a mountain at Beaver Creek resort, surrounded by wildflowers and ski slopes. We even had some wildlife that crashed the wedding! Erin and Jason had their wedding ceremony outside, with this beautiful backdrop. They celebrated their reception in Beano’s Cabin, a lavish log cabin restaurant high on the hills of Beaver Creek.

Our friend and fellow photographer, Steve Tinetti, photographed this wedding with Mike and me. I’ve second shot for Steve a few times, so it was really fun for him to join us at this wedding. He took some gorgeous photos, and I look forward to shooting with him again sometime.

Here’s another of Steve’s wonderful portraits. Erin and Jason were willing to wander through
this field of wildflowers for their pictures, and the resulting photographs are beautiful.

I just added you to my friends list. Your work is beautiful. I look forward to seeing your updates!
I live in Colorado as well.

Hi Kristen! Thanks for the compliments! My husband and I use Canon 5Ds as our primary cameras.

Oh! And also, what kind of camera do you use?

I love your style. I’ve added you to my friends so I can keep looking at your beautiful pictures. My boyfriend is going to the Art Institute of Washington to study photography, and I’ve sent him a link to your site as well.

      Kristen

I would love that, thanks! Just let me know when you meet the lucky person. 😉

Your photography is stunning! I am nowhere near even engaged yet, but I’m TOTALLY going to write down your name in this notebook that I keep for that special day.. even if I have to travel all the way to Colorado to wed, it would be exquisite to have you as a photographer!

Thanks! I worked hard on my costume…a lot of thrift store shopping (on darn) and I will wear it for Halloween too!

I finished the book and I felt better than before I started it…(same feelings of not wanting it to end) and when you are finished…let me know and I can send you something to read about it all!

Have you read Twilight by Stephanie Meyer?

How cool! You look exactly like her. I just started reading it today, and I’m actually a little sad that I’m finally reading it. I don’t want it to be over!

I am glad we get to work together…it’s been my dream for a long time! I am positive we will love it.

Yes that is me! I won 1st place at a Harry Potter book release party in Orem, Utah! I had a blast…I got to be 1st in line to get my book! …saved me about 2 more hours of waiting in line.

I’m happy to hear it! Working with my husband at weddings is more fun than work should be. I hope the two of you love it, too.

I love your avatar! Is that you as Madame Hooch?

Thanks so much Charlotte! You and Mike inspire us (my hubby and me) as we will be working together also and you do such beautiful work together!…it is a wonderful profession!

      Hi Lindy!

I’m glad you joined the DWF. I really think you’ll get a lot out of it; I certainly have.

Mike and I use a ton of different lenses at each wedding, ranging from 15mm to 200mm. I tend to shoot a lot of wide angle images, and Mike prefers going longer. Both of us prefer natural light images with large apertures. My favorite lenses are the 16-35mm f2.8 and 85mm f1.8. Mike’s favorite is the 135mm f2.

The superwide photos that I take at weddings are shot with either the 16mm-35mm at 16mm, or the 15mm fisheye. The ones that are curved on the sides are the fisheye images. I like to shoot a few photos with that lens at each wedding, for some variety in the final set of photos.

      🙂

As usual, phenomenally gorgeous. I love how creative you were with the ring shot at the end! And of course you got great moments during the ceremony, with the audience reactions. 🙂

Just gorgeous. The porcupines are cool!

Thats the first time I have seen a porqupine. lol. And gorgeous photos as always. I wanna fly you over here when I get married!

      Charlotte,

Beautiful shots! I joined the DWF but I have a question (well 2)…what lenses do you use the most? Is that a super wide angle or a fisheye inside the cabin?

      Lindy

      your images are stunning.
