Rainforest waterfall
Quepos, Costa Rica
July 31, 2010

Last weekend Mike and I spent an afternoon hiking through Rainmaker Park, a series of trails and rope bridges through the rain forest. It was one of my favorite days of the trip, and certainly a great one for beautiful photo opportunities.

Costa Rica rain forest

After a steep climb, we encountered a series of rope bridges across the canopy. Some of them were 200 feet above the ground!

I’m not sure what was happening here, but I assume that the bridge wobbled and scared me!

One of the creepy, crawly things we discovered. A centipede, I presume?

Woah! These are amazing! My husband and I love going out on adventures too. But our zest for travel and exploration has been kept at bay for a while since the birth of our daughter. I am so looking forward to our next adventure … this time with a feisty little girl in tow.

I absolutely love your pictures. Priceless!

Gorgeous photos!!!

Absolutely gorgeous. Costa Rica is probably the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. 🙂

Beautiful again. I was immediately drawn to it the first time I saw it, and I’m still stuck on that picture of a few seedlings coming out of a log on a black background. (It’s, um, 5 or 6 from the bottom.) They’re all great, but that one’s awesome.

The rainforest is gorgeous.

And you’re showing! You look absolutely wonderful!

how luscious!!!

and you with your baby belly braving that bridge! I would have made the same terrorized face if it swayed.

Your photos of weddings always delight, but these are especially amazing. What a great trip!
