Over the weekend, we headed to DC to see the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. This year’s festival celebrates the cultures of Armenia and Catalonia, but what I really wanted to see were the Catalan human towers. I saw photos of them online, and I had to go check them out for myself.
They were thrilling to watch!
At the top of each tower was a tiny and fearless child who would raise her hand to the sky when she reached the summit.
The children wore helmets with their names on the backs. Three cheers to brave little Adria, Velma, and Avril!
