This year’s springtime has been weird here in Virginia, to say the least. Winter was preposterously warm, and spring weather began in early February. Magnolias and cherry blossoms began to bloom a couple weeks later. Then a freak snowstorm arrived in early March, completely destroying the magnolias and some of the cherry blossoms before they had a chance to peak. I was almost depressed about the whole situation! I love springtime’s blossoming trees and relish them each year.
Fortunately many of the cherry blossoms didn’t bloom until after the snowstorm, so we did end up having a second spring eventually. So this year I didn’t get to see my beloved tulip magnolias, but I did love the bluebells, azaleas, tulips, and cherry blossoms. Here are some of my photos.
