The vigil for Nabra Hassanen at Lake Anne in Reston, Virginia tonight was a powerful experience. Look at all the wonderful people who came together in a time of tragedy. I’m so proud of this community.
Nabra was a 17-year-old South Lakes High School student who was murdered earlier this week in a senseless tragedy. Her teenage friends organized a community vigil at Lake Anne Plaza, and a massive crowd turned out to show their support and compassion.
I love this community of people of many different cultures and backgrounds. I’m proud to be part of it.
