The fantastic Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival is held at Reston Town Center each May. It’s a world-class collection of artwork from around the country, and one of my favorite local events of the year. This year’s festival took place May 18-20, 2018, and I photographed it as a volunteer for the Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE). The festival is made possible by huge numbers of local volunteers each year, and I was happy to be able to contribute to this wonderful fundraiser event.
Here are some of my photos from the two days that I wandered around the festival. As you may have learned from my recent New York City photos, I love people-watching and street photography. There are so many stories to discover and imagine in a huge crowd of fascinating people.
You can see more of my event photography here. If you would like me to photograph an event for your organization or publication, I’d love to hear from you. This kind of work is among my favorites.
