Yesterday Lake Anne Plaza hosted their first annual Cardboard Regatta, and it was hilarious. Hundreds of people turned out to watch teams race in their boats made of cardboard and duct tape, to various levels of success. It was a total blast to cheer for the racers, whether they made it to the end or found themselves swimming.
Rumor has it that next year’s regatta registration sold out before this year’s race was finished! That’s how much fun this event was.
