I don’t usually stand up in front of a huge crowd and listen as people appreciate me. I’m much more accustomed to lurking quietly and documenting when things like this happen to other people. But last night I was invited as a special guest to the Tenth Anniversary celebration of Public Art Reston, where I was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for my photography.
Thank you, Public Art Reston. I would help you guys out, even without the recognition, because I love what you do and I want to support it. But it was really nice to know that you appreciate it.
I have to say, it felt really special to be honored.
