Today I spent a gorgeous autumn afternoon at this lake with Abby and Lance and their dog and cat. Abby and Lance are veterinarians in Woodland Park who get to enjoy this view every day from their home. I was thrilled to discover that they brought their dog, CR, and kitty, Simon, along for some pictures in the forest — how perfect for two vets to be with their animals!

oh… I SOOOO miss Colorado. I lived in Superior (Boulder) for 3 years. I moved back to my home state of Florida. I really miss having seasons. I miss the mountains. Your photos are not helping me!!! They are awesome. Makes me really miss it.

I think what really strikes me about your work is how the colors are just so spectacular. They are vivid, deep, and intense, and that’s wonderful to see. Even in the dog’s eyes in the last photo, the brown/gold fairly glows.
Wow the aspens are really in full glory right now! The just soften all the light and give everything that magical autumn glow. Lovely as usual!

Those are absolutely fantastic! What a view! I am partial to the last one because I love dogs:) But they are all just wonderful. They look so at ease and I’m sure that’s not a simple thing to accomplish.
