Nikki
Mile High Station
Denver, Colorado
September 4, 2009
Yesterday I helped my friend Steve Tinetti as a second shooter at Nikki and Andrew’s wedding. They got married at Mile High Station in Denver, which is a contemporary venue in a renovated iron works building. Their wedding was stylish and sophisticated, with a ceremony that felt more like a cocktail party and a band that led a great dance party into the night. Thanks, Steve, for asking me to photograph with you!

The ceremony took place upstairs on the balcony.
First dance
They had a photo booth, which was a big hit with the guests.
This guy was the life of the party! All the ladies wanted to dance with him.
Late into the night, they brought out sliders, fries, and chocolate milkshakes!

For this wedding, I used two off-camera Canon flashes triggered by Pocketwizards, as well as on-camera flash for fill.
what kind of external light do you use? strobes or something? thank you!

The high roof, the open upper level really brings focus to the center of the event.
And I like how you shoot from a low perspective to feature the ceiling and chandelier.
Looks like a beautiful site for a wedding.
Great shot of the groom looking over at the bride.
The sliders and chocolate shakes! OH! What an awesome idea.
Loving that first photo!
