Jacynda and Karen
Downtown Denver
June 27, 2009
Yesterday evening I met Karen and Jacynda in the riverfront area of Denver for their engagement session. After weeks of rainy photo shoots, I was thrilled with yesterday’s gorgeous sunny weather. It was the perfect day to walk around downtown with this fun couple. I really admire Karen and Jacynda for their work with abused and neglected teenagers. I used to work in an adolescent group home, so I know how challenging and meaningful their careers can be. I had a blast with them yesterday, and I’m really looking forward to their commitment ceremony later this summer!
As they were looking over the edge of the bridge, this bird appeared out of nowhere and startled them!
can honestly say you captured the love and tenderness between these two in the same way you devote care and energy to any couple – and that rocks my socks. Thanks
That was fantastic pictures. The pictures are indeed capturing the love and tenderness of the couple, as mentioned before. Both, the beautiful settings and the fantastic photography technique to the overall quality. Thank you.

I love great use of shallow depth of field in a lot of the photos. My favorite is probably the ones with the mural in the background such an interesting perspective. These photographs are wonderful. Thank you.

Beautiful couple. Beautiful pics. Nice the way sometimes its about the background and sometimes its about the couple but either way the couple and their settings compliment each other.

So on a sidenote, who/where would you suggest I go for classes on learning the basics of DSLR photography?
I love love love the first one under the bridge (?) with the huge painted faces that they’re standing between. Awesome.

Being a gay woman and budding wedding photographer myself, I can honestly say you captured the love and tenderness between these two in the same way you devote care and energy to any couple – and that rocks my socks. Wonderful set… as always!
