Mike and Jamie
Garden of the Gods Club
Colorado Springs
July 4, 2010
The Garden of the Gods Club is one of my favorite spots in town, and it was the perfect setting for this Texan couple’s destination wedding. Jamie and Mike’s wedding was an emotional event with a stunning backdrop — a perfect day all around. Congratulations, Jamie and Mike! I’m so happy for you.

I love long veils on windy days!

The day ended with nature’s own fireworks display. A thunderstorm lit up the sky as they danced the night away.

Fabulous location and some great use of wide-angle to make the most of the spectacular scenery. Some great close-ups as well.
Awww, how beautiful that they got a thunderstorm on the night of the wedding! I’m sure there’s some symbolism there but let’s hope it’s positive! I’m sure I’ve seent hat venue in another of your pictures Charlotte, but I could be imagining it. It looks an incredible location to get married though.
stunning views!

they bought fireworks? cray cray! also such a great pic of the deer!
Wonderful photographs. Like the interior a lot.
I have NEVER cried at a wedding in all my 33 years of life, and these images brought tears to my eyes. Simply stunning!
LOVE this wedding! You really captured the beautiful landscape, sky, clouds and other wonderful Colorado elements. Excellent!
Abolutely beautiful. As usual!
My brother in law recently moved to Colorado Springs with his girlfriend. I’m not-so-secretly praying they get married out there someday… because I will force them to use you as their photographer! 🙂
I love the trio of the groom’s reaction. Great shots, as usual 🙂

These are amazing Charlotte! The one with the infinity pool is awesome!
God–could the one with his hands on the curve of her back BE any more gorgeous??!
great work!
The one where they’re both watching the fireworks – WOW. That’s so great.
I think my favorite is the one of her family holding hands during the ceremony. As a bride, you miss a lot during the wedding and reception, and that would be especially touching for me to see the way my family reacted. The fact that it’s just their hands is SO powerful!
You really are amazing, lady!
*plus, now you have the power of a full-grown woman AND a little tiny baby. LOL*

great work!
All of the photographs are outstanding, but that one of them by the reflecting pool is phenomenal. I can’t get over it! How beautiful. 🙂
Charlotte, I just adore these. You outdo yourself every time.

Great wedding and beautiful pictures Charlotte!
Oh, wow, Charlotte. I don’t comment often enough on your inspirational, amazing work. There was so much here to love I don’t know where to begin, but they have to be thrilled beyond words. That series of the groom’s reaction was perfection, your exposures are KILLER, especially those skies, and as always, you have a knack for catching the quirky details that really take the storytelling to the next intimate level. Bravissimo!
