We’ve been iced in all weekend! Colorado Springs is covered in a layer of ice, leaving a coating of icy crystals everywhere. Here are the rose bushes in our front yard. This ice storm is beautiful, but I look forward to having our autumn back.

Okay, so being a Florida kid, I think this is the coolest thing ever. I live in Georgia now, and when it snowed last year (it snowed twice actually, but I missed the second time because we were on our honeymooon) I was SO VERY EXCITED! Thanks for posting these!
I can’t believe the picture of the ice crystal spider web! That’s the coolest nature shot i’ve seen in a while.
Those are some seriously awesome photos. Makes me wish for an ice storm here.
So beautiful, yet so foreign to me! I have not seen “real snow” in probably 15 years or something, maybe more. LOVE the spider web.
Wow, these are amazing. I haven’t seen shots like this before – really nice.
I love these, simply beautiful. And can only imagine how cold it needs to be for that to happen!!
um…. awesome!!! We usually don’t get stuff like this in Texas… especially not in Oct. I love love love that first shot!
Ugh, great shots, but don’t remind me that winter is coming!
It’s very very beautiful!Looks like sugar!

I’m surprised the spiderweb was able to maintain the weight of the ice!

The spider web looks like an old fashioned lace doily. It is beautiful! I agree we need Autumn back, now it is time for Indian Summer.:)

That is beautiful.
Seriously.
That’s not quite what I had in mind, but if you want to come over and eat our roses, I won’t turn away the funny photo opp.
Man. The frost makes the roses and the spider web look like they’ve been dusted in sugar. Roses being edible flowers, these certainly look yummy. I don’t think that’s what you intended, but still. 😉
That is beautiful.
Seriously.
that spiderweb is INSANE!
