Last spring this family had to say goodbye to their beloved golden retriever, Summer. She had lived a long, full life and was a huge part of their family. I took their family portraits during the dog’s final days, which was a sad but beautiful experience.
I was thrilled when they invited me back this month to photograph their new puppy, Frankie! Frankie is a three-month-old golden retriever who is an adorable ball of fluff. The kids adore her, and she is lucky to have all of them!
Photo tip:
When it comes to dog photos, have treats! If you put dog treats right on top of your lens, you might get at least a few photos of the dog looking at the camera. The closer the treats are to your lens, the more eye contact you’ll have for the photos.
