Elisabeth and Joe
June 17, 2006
What a wonderful weekend and setting for the wedding of Joe and Elisabeth! They got married on Saturday at a beautiful private property in the mountains. They said their vows on the dock of a lake, surrounded by mountains and clear, blue skies. Elisabeth and Joe are high school sweethearts who have been together for years, and it was wonderful to watch them get married.
One of the best parts of this wedding for me was reuniting with several people whom I met last fall. Last September, Mike and I photographed the wedding of Joe’s brother, Tom. Joe was the best man last year, and this year Tom had his chance to toast his brother. It was an honor to be invited back to photograph a second family wedding. It’s always my goal to be considered a family’s photographer.
Congratulations, Joe and Elisabeth! I hope you enjoy these photo previews!
I took this picture last year, at Tom’s wedding. This picture shows Joe’s family, with Elisabeth and Joe on the right, as bridesmaid and best man. It was great to see all of them again!
Elisabeth and the ladies got ready in a cabin next to a beautiful lake.
Elisabeth’s mother seeing her all made up.
Elisabeth looked stunning.
I thought they were so pretty together.

Joe’s reaction to seeing Elisabeth.
What a perfect place to start a marriage.
After the ceremony, Joe found a quiet moment to take it all in. I love this photo because of the ring on his finger and the look on his face. It makes me wonder what he’s thinking at this moment.
Joe led us to a waterfall on the property, and we took some beautiful portraits there.
The cake, from above.
Joe and Elisabeth cut the cake with a sword that is a family heirloom. The inscripton on the handle says “1777.”
Elisabeth’s brother surprised them with an amazing slideshow of photos from
their childhood and relationship.
Hi to both of you!
Thanks. I shoot as a team, usually with my husband, Mike. Mike wasn’t able to attend this wedding, so my friend and colleage, Heather, second-shot for me that day.
Wow, amazing photos as always. Such a gorgeous location for a wedding. I love Elisabeth’s dress, and she really did look stunning. 🙂 Glad you got to photograph their wedding.
Wow. Just wow.
Not only is your camera work beautiful, but you really captured what kind of day the happy couple had together. It really did look like the dream wedding. And the location was breath taking!
