Over the weekend I took a walk through the canyon, on a scavenger hunt to find as many colors as I could. All of these photos were taken within a two-hour walk in the hills. I love June.

Beautiful flowers captured perfectly! I love how you took emphasis on each flower you took. Simply stunning. ๐Ÿ™‚

These are really crisp. No focusing issues here. Did you use a tripod?

Thanks for the info! I suspected that it was a macro lens of some kind, due to your depth of field.

…though I’ve been wrong before, and if I turned out to be wrong in this instance, and that you had used your G10 compact, I was going to ask you how you managed to achieve that sort of depth of field with it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sure! Thanks so much for your interest. ๐Ÿ™‚

If anyone would like me to add other photos to the online store, just let me know!

I took all these photos with a Canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens. I actually don’t recommend that lens particularly highly, because the focus is difficult, but it’s a useful lens in its price range.

And of course “A mountain field filled with fragrant blossoms is love.” ๐Ÿ™‚

I took all these photos with a 5D and a Canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens. It’s not a great lens, due to its unreliable focusing, but it’s a decent lens for its price range.

      Thanks! I used the Canon 100mm f2.8 macro on a 5D.

SUCH a cool idea! Can I ask what you’re using for glass?

Breathtaking! The clarity and colors are amazing. Beautiful!

      You. Are. Awesome.

Hee hee, that bottom strip could read “Photography is Love”.

I’m also curious about what lens you used here.
      They’re beautiful ๐Ÿ™‚

I was going to ask the same question ๐Ÿ™‚

      Lovely!

Did you use your macro lens for these, or did you somehow manage this with your G10?

      So pretty! Thanks for sharing!

      Gorgeous images, as always!
You continue to raise the bar for the rest of us to aspire to. ๐Ÿ™‚

charlotte, these are absolutely breathtaking. is there any way you could sell prints of them (specifically the baby evergreen and the yellow flower on the purple/blue background)?
