John Paul and Brittany
Air Force Academy
Colorado Springs
October 3, 2009
Brittany and John Paul got married last weekend at the colorful and dramatic Air Force Academy chapel. Their reception took place at the Association of Graduates at Doolittle Hall. Brittany and I have become good friends over the last year, and I’ve had a chance to get to know several of her friends and family, so this wedding was a lot of fun for me. Brittany and John Paul, I’m so happy for you!
This wedding coverage was quite a team effort. Thank you very much to Tamera Goldsmith, Lindsey Zahalka, and my wonderful husband Mike!
It was a beautiful fall day at the Air Force Academy.
Brittany’s gown was handmade by her mother and a family friend.

On the bus to the chapel, Brittany borrowed my camera to get a picture of the bridesmaids from her perspective.
Here’s the picture Brittany took!

Wow Charlotte! What a beautiful wedding and a gorgeous couple! I know your clients are thrilled with their photos and thank you so much for sharing! Definitely stalking your blog from now on.
Hi really enjoyed reading your post keep it coming.
Frank
Fantastic wedding set – love the airforce theme! Really comprehensive coverage! I am sure they will be pleased.
My daughter was maid of honor for Brittany, but unfortunately we were unable to travel to Colorado for the wedding. Viewing your wonderful photos was almost as good as being there. Just seeing them made me cry, as if I had been there. Brittany looked exactly as my Amy described—“stunning”. You beautifully captured Brittany and John Paul’s happiness and devotion to each other in your fabulous photos. Thanks for letting me “be at the wedding”.
Great job on this wedding, Charlotte! You’ve captured great moments and compositions here!
Charlotte,
There is a “No way on earth” this could be better!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!!!!! What talent you have!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless someone shows me better, the slide show etc are the most awesome I’ve seen in a long time.
You certainly captured the most important – the bride. You also also captured the bride’s most important desirables. Way to go!!!!
I’ve been advertising you … please enjoy any advertised site.

Love the great moments captured, the bride and grooms expressions make this magical. The depth of field and wide angle shots make it visually stunning.
Great images form this wedding Charlotte!
What a beautiful location.
I was once to this chapel on the air force academy, I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was and to receive the opportunity to photograph a wedding in such a wonderful location, wow.
Great job with all of the photographs, especially those in the chapel on base.
very beautiful photos
and the couple!

Beautiful photography! Great moments captured here, this couple got super lucky with their wedding photographer!
beautiful! that first one really caught my eye. would love to see that as a huge canvas print!
What a beautiful church with amazing photos! Well done, I couldn’t pick a favorite!
Simply. Beautiful. Every single one. The Black and white of the bride looking down in veil…gah!! Gorgeous!
Love, love, love the image in front of the church, it is beautiful. Turning them away from the camera and having them do an activity made the image work. Great use of leading lines btw in several of the images Very nice work boy do I miss those Colorado clouds!
These are just wondeful. My favourites are the one of the bride going down the stairs, the outside fieldy portraits, and the one of the two woman trying to lean over to watch the brial procession – wonderful capture, that!
Wow that photograph of the bride going down the stairs with the picture of the flag raising above her is really cool…especially considering the context of where the ceremony is taking place. Super shot!
Charlotte,
What a beautiful couple! The photos are just fantastic and convey the very special mood. I especially like the black and white shots. Absolutely grand. Thank you so much.
Charlotte,
Your photography is remarkable! I am so proud to tell our family and friends that our daughter Lindsey, has had the wonderful opportunity to work with you. Your talent and guidance is showing up in her work. I am forever grateful for all your kindness!
Her dress is so lovely!
This is a really gorgeous set. Can I just say how envious I am over the beautiful skies you get over there? It’s pretty hard to get the same hues of blue here.

I’d love to be there for you when the time is right!
When the wedding party entered the reception, the ladies were all wearing red satin scarves and sunglasses, just for the fun of it.
The item mounted on my flash is a pocketwizard.
wonderful!
These are so amazing Charlotte! I cant wait for the day I can shoot a wedding at the Air Force Academy!
I love it! Congrats again to JP and Brittany! It was such a great wedding and you guys are so cute together. Charlotte, as always it’s a treat to work with you. 🙂 Tamera
Darling Charlotte,
I knew you were amazing, but these photos have far surpassed anything I had ever hoped for. Britt and JP just got back to Japan Friday morning and called me today to listen to me cry and laugh over the slideshow. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful and unique talent and your friendship. love, e

Wow. What an absolutely beautiful couple.
What is this red thing she has around her neck when they are dancing?
The black and white bus picture- what’s mounted to your flash?
I love your wide shots and your use of narrow DOF.
Charlotte, I love looking at professional wedding photos. I’ve probably looked at photos taken by thousands of photographers, and you are by far the best one, ever, hands-down. You amaze me.
