Amanda and Eric got married on Saturday at the lovely Lionscrest Manor, high on a hill north of Boulder. Their wedding had a beautifully executed pink and brown theme, with subtle reflections of their passions for dogs. Amanda and Eric train puppies for the guide dog program, and I’m fascinated by the work that they do. Their two dogs attended the wedding, including one who is leaving for his official guide dog training later this month. You might remember all of them from their engagement session last year.

Saturday’s weather brought temperatures in the 30s and a steady rain all day. It was too bad that we missed out on Lionscrest’s mountain views, but still it was a beautiful wedding, and we were glad to be a part of it.

      Congratulations, Amanda and Eric!

This was a first for me: part of Amanda’s getting ready process involved brushing Nasa’s teeth.

      Emily, the lovely flower girl

The rain couldn’t take away the beautiful fall colors.

Anthony, in his guide dog uniform.

I wonder what was going through Eric’s mind here.

Amanda and Eric hired filmmaker Ken Wajda to create a super 8 film of the wedding.

Does anyone know what these spiral flowers in the bouquets are? I loved them!

      Two of Eric’s nieces

Before the ceremony, Amanda’s mother gave her a gift that she had made.

It was an exquisite garter made from Amanda’s mother’s, grandmother’s, and great-grandmother’s wedding gowns.

Amanda’s father’s eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw her in her gown.

I loved this moment between Amanda and her brother.

Nasa carried the rings in a velvet box on his leash.

On their way to the ceremony

The tables were named for puppies in the guide dog program.

Their were subtle pawprints hidden among the flowers on the cake.

      CUTE

I hoped this boy would do something interesting during my long exposure, and sure enough, he jumped over a puddle!

I love it when families dance together like this.

October is a gorgeous month here in CO, but you never know what you’re going to get. It could be 80 degrees; it could be snow. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I was admiring that coat too!

I’m currently planning my wedding for Oct. 16, 2010 and still debating over whether or not to get married in Colorado or back home in Florida. Last weekend was definitely a vote for Florida! haha.

Really I was so touched by that garter. I got all teary-eyed while taking those photos. Amazing.

A dress twin! Her gown was spectacular… I hope you’ll love it, too!

How does everyone know about fiddlehead ferns but me? I learn something new everyday. Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh wow, that dress was gorgeous. Your mother has great taste!

Thanks! That was the cover to their wedding invitation. I love it when couples send me an invitation, because it’s fun to use it as a prop.

Monkey tails, fiddle heads… they are all great names.

Fiddlehead has to be one of the best plant names I’ve heard. Thanks for the info!

The wedding was exquisitely decorated and planned. Great taste, indeed!

It was so cold over the weekend! I wasn’t prepared for those temperatures after such a warm week. But Amanda was definitely prepared — I adored her white coat that she wore at the end of the night!

The garter is a lovely idea.

I just can’t ooohhh and aaawww enough! These photographs truly capture every moment throughout your event. This will make for quite an album to go through. Congratulations to both of you.

      the garter is exquisite!

      These photos are wonderful!
I love the dress she wore, but I’m biased, since I wore the same one =D

I think someone already told you, but the spirals in the bouquet are fiddlehead ferns ๐Ÿ™‚ and they’re gorgeous! I love them!

Looks like such a beautiful wedding!

I am a bride getting married in May and my mother is going to wear the same dress that Amanda’s mother wore. It is a gorgeous dress! And of course beautiful pictures as always!

Your pictures of the rings are always great!

I thought the spiral things were called “monkey tails”, but that’s probably not their scientific name. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Beautiful wedding!

What a lovely day, her dress is so beautiful. I love the sash and the cowboy hats. She has great taste.

I was worried about this wedding when I was driving around Denver in the rain on Saturday. I’d remembered you posting about it ahead of time. But it looks like she was a great sport taking pictures out in the freezing temperatures!
