Stephanie and Dave
Rust Manor House
Leesburg, Virginia
October 9, 2010
Last weekend I traveled to Virginia for Stephanie and Dave’s Leesburg wedding. October is my favorite time to be in Virginia, and I was especially excited to photograph a wedding there, now that I’m moving to Northern Virginia later this month. Stephanie and Dave got married at beautiful Rust Manor House, which is a nature sanctuary operated by the Audubon Society. They had a lavender color scheme with creative details that perfectly suited this autumn setting. Congratulations, Dave and Stephanie!
Rust Manor has a beautiful bridal suite with this elaborate mirror.

Immediately after the ceremony
I love quietly following brides and grooms after the ceremony, and observing their reactions to those first few moments as a married couple.
The reception took place in a white tent on the grounds of Rust Manor.
The place cards were bundles of lavender, labeled with each guest’s name and table name.
The cake table offered lavender cupcakes, a cutting cake, and chocolate groom’s cupcakes.
How cute are these Virginia Tech groom’s cakes! I loved them, even though I went to UVA. 😉
As the guests found their tables, Stephanie and Dave had a quiet moment together outside.
Just before being announced at the reception.

I love this series of images. Your work really stands out and is quite inspiring for me, a fellow wedding photographer in Seattle.
Thank you for this. I’m in the process of putting my wedding album together, and it really helps a lot!

These are beautiful. I love the details, love the embrace between the bride and her matron of honour, just love the whole set, actually.
WOW! These are all fantastic, but my favorite is the picture of the bride and her bridesmaids walking downstairs. That shot is KILLER! It could be hung up as fine art, regardless of it being a wedding!
Love the purple, very pretty. My Hubby loves lavender, so he would love that idea.
Beautiful wedding, and I love the hearts on the bottoms of her shoes. 🙂
Great range of emotion and details. A wonderful set of photographs.
