Sample wedding album
Mike and I are working hard this week to redesign our website and make new sample albums. A few days ago I designed a sample mini-book, using photos from Gabrielle and Dylan’s wedding. This books will be 4″x5″, and therefore not much bigger than the files you see here. It will be tiny! I can’t wait to see it. I think little books like these are great to give to grandparents or bridesmaids. I want to make one of my own wedding, to keep in my purse!

lol… I totally agree. I noticed that the day after I ordered the book… d’oh. Fortunately it is a sample album, and therefore not something I’m delivering to a client. 😉
One thing I would change…
Every aspect of your work is fantastic. The only thing I would change would be to flip the photos that make up the “flower headed guys holding the wine glasses.” When you see it, you will know what I am talking about. Hopefully you are not too “professional” for constructive criticism. 😉

That cracks me up, too! It was a total accident, and unfortunately I didn’t catch it until I ordered the book. Now I can’t look at that page without laughing. Oh well, at least it is a sample, and not something I’m giving to a client. 😉
The funny thing is the way she described it. She is a competitive country line dancer (no I’m not kidding) and she said:
“This woman I dance with, well her daughter is 18 and got pregnant with the baby of this little Mexican boy. She brings in pictures all the time of that girl and the baby and brags about them. Now I can brag about you.”
She could have just said “One of the women I dance with brags about her grandson, now I can brag about you.” Or something like that. She just makes it so scandelous.
The weather that day was gorgeous! We were just about to get an afternoon storm when we took those photos at the Garden of the Gods, and I love the stormy clouds overhead.
I do show them to clients when I make sample albums. Most of my clients like knowing that I am showing off their wedding to other people. 🙂
What a great idea! That’s so great that your grandma carries hers around. 🙂
I haven’t finalized my new products pricelist, but I think I’ll be offering them for $250 with 30 photos. 🙂

q – when you create these sample books, do you show them to the clients from the wedding in which you’re sampling from? allow them to also purchase on? i would just imagine that any samples you create for your studio or otherwise, a couple couldn’t Not want one! 🙂
Our photographer included mini albums in our package. We got like eight but then bought a few more. We gave them to each bridal party member (each one could have different photos in it) and then to our grandparents. My grandma carries hers around and brags…as I am her only granddaughter. It’s cute.
