Last month I photographed the wedding weekend of Kerry and Jeff, the couple that got engaged last year at Lake Anne while I secretly photographed the proposal. I loved being able to document the beginning of their engagement, and then the beginning of their marriage, too.
Jeff and Kerry held their rehearsal dinner at the Lake House, a waterfront venue at Lake Newport in Reston. It was my first time working there, and I was excited to take in the fantastic views. (And as a bonus, it is located less than half a mile from my house! )
The Lake House has two lovely interior spaces, but my favorite spot is the deck that sits on the water.
I love to photograph rehearsal dinners, because they give me an opportunity to get to know the families and close friends of the bride and groom. I could tell that they were going to be a ton of fun on the wedding day. (And I was right!)
As I’ve said countless times, I adore the scenery of Reston, especially its four lakes. Lake Newport, though, is perhaps the prettiest of them all.
