Congratulations to Tracey and Dave! They got married last weekend at the Wild Basin Lodge, a beautiful venue right outside Rocky Mountain National Park. The entire day was filled with personal touches, from their spectacular decorations, to their surprise-filled ceremony, to their rockin’ reception. How fun!

This is the beautiful view from the honeymoon suite. Tracey and Dave got married in that amphitheater by the river.

Tracey and Dave see each other for the first time that day, while Tracey’s mom watches.

Tracey and her posse set up the reception room.

I loved their apple placeholders and multi-colored centerpieces.

While the ladies were setting up, Dave and the guys did some mountain biking.

This was Tracey’s mother’s first time seeing her gown. She loved it.

This is one of my favorites of the day! Mike captured a wonderful moment here.

The groom and groomsmen entered the ceremony on mountain bikes! How cool!

The rain started to sprinkle as they exchanged rings.

Dave pulled out his camera during their first kiss! I want to see the picture he took!

      Car bombs all around!

Haha. I just noticed this on one of your tags. If you get a chance, you should go and hike a couple of the trails in Wild Basin. I went up there two weekends in June (Finch Lake/Pear Lake and Thunder Lake/Sandbeach Lake hikes).

      Tracey’s makeup

I’ll take that as a compliment since I did Tracey’s makeup. She was fun and easy to work with. My goal is always to accent the bride’s natural beauty and not have cosmetics be what you see in the photos.

      Charlotte photos are great!

      Lovely. Gorgeous. Fabulous. As always.

And hey! That’s a Mary Kay mirror! LOL

      Car Bomb?

Maybe I am getting too old… what’s in a car bomb?

I’ll be sure to tell him you said that… compliments mean a lot, coming from you!

      Re: Tracey & Dave’s celebration

Hi Colleen! It’s great to hear from you! I’m so glad that you love the photos!

There were so many car bombs lined up on that bar! That was a really fun part of the night.

I love that bubble photo that Mike took!

I loved that! I really wish Mike and I had done that at our wedding. πŸ™‚ Stay tuned… Dave sent me that photo that he took, so I could blog it!

That little girl looks so chilled out, despite being airborne and all. Funny stuff.

I love that, too! I swear I didn’t tell him to do that. πŸ™‚

Hi Kristin! I’m loving the reallifewedding community. It’s great to meet you, and please give your friends my thanks for the great community!

Tracey looked gorgeous even before she put her makeup on! πŸ™‚

I’m sorry, Kelli, but I’m a Canon shooter, so I don’t know much about Nikon gear. Ryan gave some good advice here, though. One thing I can add is that fisheyes make some really funky portraits. I use my fisheye sparingly in portrait shoots — just for a little pizazz on a few shots.

Thanks, Ryan! I don’t shoot Nikon, so your feedback here is more helpful!

Thank you! I will look into those πŸ™‚

Hi, I don’t want to hijack Charlotte’s post, but I thought I could answer this one, since I use Nikon. There are only two fisheyes made for the size your camera captures, the Nikon 10.5mm (great, but a bit pricey) and the Tokina 10-17mm, which is a bit slower but cheaper and it zooms, which may be good for portraits. I have the Nikon and love it.

Mike’s one of the child is something else.

You and Mike got some great shots. I like how the groom pulled out his camera for a couple shots.

      Tracey & Dave’s celebration

Thank you so much for creating wonderful memories of my daughter’s special day! You have captured both the bride and groom’s personalities and love for each other so beautifully!

And this is just the initial pics……I will want them all!

love to see car bombs at a wedding πŸ™‚ fantastic! heehee

Amazing photos! Such a great wedding. Everyone is having such a great time.
I love the bubbles/boy photo…and what a great idea to pull out the little digital photo and get a photo of them taking a photo. I LOVE that picture!
      πŸ™‚

Really nice ring picture, & I love the shot of him taking a picture of their first kiss- so funny that he would think of doing that, and great that you caught it. πŸ™‚

Wow the setting is just beautiful, beside the river and everything. And I love the expression on the little girl’s face who got tossed in the air! So cute.

I love the fact that his hand is on her ass on the one right after the ceremony!! Awesome. πŸ˜‰
      These are lovely, as always.

Truly romantic. Thank you for sharing the photos.

Lovely pics, as always. Found you through , which is maintained by RL friends of mine. I’ve friended you – you have such a great eye, and I am looking forward to seeing more. Thanks for sharing!

      As always, gorgeous photos.

But you know what strikes me as something rarely seen in a lot of wedding photos these days, the bride looks natural and not over done like a woman posing for Cosmo and has spackled enough makeup on to last a week.

      < grin >

Granted she has a natural beauty to begin with but she didn’t push it and she looks refreshing! I wish more brides would do that. That’s how young brides should look, refreshing.

      πŸ™‚

How sweet and romantic! Great pics! πŸ™‚

      How fun!

I wanted to rack your brain – I want to get a fisheye lens for my D80. Nothing fancy, but I’m not sure what type to get. I know there are different “degrees” or whatever you call it regarding just how rounded the picture becomes. What would you recommend? It’d mostly be used in portraits.

      nice wedding, beautiful photos
      thank you
